At the beginning of the 22nd century, the world was heavily divided and most countries were in a state of complete anarchy. Nations were rising against nations and wars were more frequent than ever. People from all over the world were realizing that something needed to be done before the world couldn't be saved anymore. For the first time countries came together in desperate times to discuss plans for a more "perfect world", a world ruled under one person. They wanted a way to bring everyone together as one, under one ruler, and under one unified nation. All the nation's leaders agreed that to fix the chaotic world they were suffering in, it was best to step down and allow for someone to be elected as King or Queen of the New World.
Many people in previous political positions all around the world ran for this royal spot, but after tireless months of campaigning only one woman came out with the highest popular vote. Ferra Drundel, previously a governor in Paris, France, had become the new Queen in the year 2106. She won the hearts of many with her charisma and charm, and she seemed relatable and down to earth with her story of how she had experienced a miscarriage 11 years ago.
With Queen Ferra Drundel as the leader of the New World, a lot of changes were made. By the year 2107, just a year after she rose to power, she had declared that her firstborn would be the rightful heir to the throne, so to continue her legacy, she gave birth to a little girl named Aurelia, in October of 2107. However, she never revealed who the father was.
The story now takes place in the year 2112, 6 years after Ferra Drundel became Queen, where we meet Lark and her friends who live in Paris.
