Annabeth's POV

As I was dragging Percy to the math classroom, our first class of the day, I was wondering if I was still dreaming. Well, I proved myself wrong after several attempts of wake up pinches, which actually hurt (a lot). I couldn't believe that Percy was attending school with me. But, where was he staying? I asked him, "Percy where are you staying?"

"Well, I have an apartment rented by my parents just a couple of blocks away from here. I think I will be staying there." He said with a smile in his face. This made me sad. Why did he have to rent an apartment when he could have stayed with me. Besides, I have designed a room only for him. I walked towards the classroom staring at the ground, silently. I was really sad.

Just as we arrived to the classroom, Percy noticed my sad face. He grabbed my chin and made it go upwards, his sea green eyes meeting mine. He kissed me. I think that what I needed. My stress was gone. He asked me, "What's wrong?"

"Nothing" I lied.

We made into the math class holding hands. I noticed that the boys were glaring at Percy. Man they were jealous. After trying so hard to convince me, they ended up seeing the new guy holding hands with a girl on the first day.

Percy introduced himself to the math teacher, Mr. Abbott. He was a middle aged fat man with black hair and eyes. He was really friendly and always had a smile on his face. When Percy introduced to himself, He said, "Glad to meet you, young man. Assuming from your current situation, you may sit in the 5th seat 152 degrees from here to the left with Annabeth. You have to keep a minimum distance of 5.23 inch from her though. I do not want any monkey business. I don't know who blushed more but we sat there silently.

As the class began Mr. Abbott started to explain Pythagoras theorem. Not even 5 minutes had passed until I was able to hear faint snoring. Percy had already dozed off. I knew he didn't like maths but he should have at least pretended to understand. I tried to punch him, only to hurt myself. Cursed Achilles' curse. I left him like that. Luckily, Mr. Abbott never noticed the asleep Percy.

I don't know how, but Percy immediately got up when the class was over. He said, "Ah' the class is over. Mind if you help me with this after school?"

"No, do it yourself Seaweed Brain. Of course I will help you. What other choice I have?" I sighed. He gave me a huge grin and kissed me on the cheek. Everyone stared at us. I grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the next class. The next three periods, English, Greek and science went smoothly. It was lunch time.

I regrouped with Amber, April and Mary. They also got their boyfriends, Ben, Mark and Drew. Percy was already gone to the lunch counter to get food. Seaweed Brain. Everything was fine until I heard the sound of dropping plates from the counter. The first thought that came into my mind was about monsters. I positioned myself to pull out my dagger. Percy was already dodging punches. But it was not a monster, it was Steven.

Percy's POV

As I was about to grab my lunch, thinking about how much fun I had with Annabeth, and how much more I will have, a hand punched on the plate in my hand. There were loud noises of crashing metal. As I looked upwards, I was bewildered to see Steven, His eyes full of hatred and disgust. He behaved aggressively, throwing punches at me. His expression and look was similar to Nico's when he got the news of Bianca's death. I kept dodging him, moving backwards. I was looking for opening. As I found one, I grabbed his wrist, swung it around his head and locked his hand. He was still fidgeting.

"What the Hades is wrong with you Steven?" I asked, still glaring at him, "You started fighting when I was going to eat my first lunch in school in San Francisco?"

"Why did you need to come to San Francisco, to steal my girl? I wish you were never here. If you were not here, I would have been sitting next to Annabeth, and ask her out. I bet she would have said yes." He said giving me a death glare.

Now, I understood what was wrong with him. For a while, I really felt bad for him. So I loosened my grip. But he thought I was tired and got free, only to attack again. I kept on dodging just as that lady counsellor arrived. She shouted, "STEVEN, What in the world you think you are doing?"

He stopped fighting me. Wow, that lady had some domination. She said, "Come to my office, NOW" She said as she walked towards her office.

Steven said glaring, "I will see you next time Percy Jackson. You have a new enemy in this school." Saying this he ran away. As he walked away, I could see a strange shadow forming around him. Is he whom I think he is? My days in this school are going to be awesome.

So, this is it for the 4th chapter. I know it is short, but I am kind of busy with the current situation in out locality. Lot of Covid-19 patients are coming up and i am not always in a mood to write. I will update the next part soon.
