Percy's POV

I have to admit, this is the time I hate the most other than school maths class. Yes, I am talking about my maths homework. Although Annabeth is always trying to help me, yet, it still gives me a hard time.

As Annabeth was trying to explain me, I was always trying to kiss her or chat with her. After three long hours of maths homework, it was finally finished. As Annabeth closed the book, she sighed and said, "Percy, you know what, fighting monsters is better than teaching maths. How hard is this stupid Pythagoras's theorem? It took you more than an hour for you to understand that the a,b and c in the formula are not alphabets placed there for fun but the sides of a triangle. You are such a Seaweed Brain."

At this point, I pretended to be disappointed. She saw my sad face and started to say, "Sorry Percy, I didn't mean to be rude. I know that if you try you can do better."

With the sad face, "And you are so Wise Girl. Yes, I can do better if you agree to teach me." I changed my sad face into laughter. "Did you really think I would become annoyed with such a vague comment? Hahaha"

"You are hopeless Seaweed Brain" She was about to leave when I grabbed her hand and pulled her towards me. I lay down while she was on top of me. She smiled and I got lost in her grey eyes. I pulled out her ponytail and let her hair open. Her soft yellow hair was tickling my cheeks. She got closer, to have a kiss. But instead, she rubbed her nose against mine and got away.

"Hey" I groaned "This is not fair"

"Finish the rest of the homework first, and then you will get what you want." She was grinning at me.

After another two hours of home working, we were done with this punishment. Annabeth was packing for the next day of school while I was sitting on the bed, staring at her. I realized, she looked pretty cute from the back with her open hair.

"Hey Annabeth" I said.

"Uh-huh?" she said while packing.

"When will I get what I want?"

"Never."

"Hey that is not fair, I thought I would be able to kiss you when we are finished."

"Oh did I say that. Well, if so..." She ran towards me and jumped on me. We were in the same position as before. Yet she looked like she would genuinely kiss me this time. But as our lips were inches away, Athena strikes again.

"Dinner is ready" Mrs Chase screamed from below. "All of you come down."

Annabeth again got down without kissing me. "Nooo!" I groaned.

"Looks like you are not in good luck today, let's finish this some other time." She winked at me after saying this. As she got to the door, she turned back and said, "Remember, we have to discuss what has happened till now before sleeping."

*After dinner, in Annabeth's room*

"Annabeth, let's start where we had left off." I said.

"Sure, we left off at Pythagoras theorem, the next is—"

"Wait, I am not talking about maths."

"Then, oh that.." She pulled a naughty smile on her face. She pushed me down and we were in the same position, once again. But the proverb says, 'third time is the charm'. This time, our lips met, finally. I was truly enjoying our lone time and judging from Annabeth's actions, she was too. After kissing for some minutes she pulled off and said, "Lets discuss, or else, it would be too late."

"Yeah sure." I said while sitting on the bed.

Annabeth started to tell her story about her dreams first. She told me about Atlas and his stupid plan to kill me. Some random Tarsus guy who was mentioned by Steven as well and who is basically the lackey of Atlas. She told me why Steven did not kill me when he could have. Lastly, she told me that she had heard Tarsus's voice before. I don't know where. In fact, it was really odd that Tarsus knew so much about us.
