I stood stolid, my back arched. I felt power surge through my entire being. The numbers on my wrist flashed wildly. I felt Satan's hands around me contract even more tightly. I tried to see where the powerful reverberating voice had come from.

"God, its been so long," Satan said behind me, cheek against my bare neck. "Nice handy-work. It is yours, is it not?" He trailed a finger down my scars.

"Drop her Lucifer. It is over. It is done," the voice commanded.

"I don't suppose anyone's told you beloved one, but I prefer Satan these days," Satan snapped his fingers, and I was dropped . I clung to my shirt to cover my breasts.

"I created you, Lucifer, so I will call you by the name I gave you," the voice said.

"If I had known you were coming, I would have tidied up a bit," Satan laughed hollowly falling into his throne of bones and rock.

God was glorious. Everything about him seemed to bring light in the dank cavernous pit. He was the incarnate of pure beauty. His pristine robes billowed, swirling in a wind that wasn't there. Behind him stood eight white winged creatures each in golden robes with shiny blonde hair of all different varieties. The creatures of darkness rose from their seats their eyes trained on the man standing in front of the blonde mob.

"You were always the witty one," God said simply looking at me for the first time.

"So, to what oh great one, do I owe this daring visit?" Satan slumped back in his seat.

"You have something that belongs to me," God looked directly into the eyes of the Devil. Ocean blue clashing with fire red, swirling in a never ending torrent of emotion, in the colors of the northern lights.

"Funny, I don't believe I've attempted overworld takeover recently," he smiled slyly.

"I'm speaking of something of a little less magnitude, Lucifer," God said losing his patience. Satan got to his feet walking gracefully around the room.

"And yet I see nothing of yours in my domain," Satan said, as if he were at a loss.

"Regina," he said summoning to me with his long pink fingers.

"What do you think you're doing!" Satan shouted, stepping in front of me, shielding me from God's view.

"Retrieving what you have caused me to lose, not once Lucifer, but twice now if I'm correct. Which, well, I always am." He stepped forward until they were only steps apart. For some reason eyes on both sides became wide and shocked.

"But you see, dear one, it is your own miscalculation that I benefit from. She may only return once she has saved forty souls. Only then, may she return to you in heaven, to forever be at your side. If she dies before such a time...She belongs to me." He brought his hands to his chest. God looked baffled.

"How did-" He paused looking simply at me.
