The next morning, Kara and Mon-El lay in bed, entangled in each other's arms. Kara's head rested gently on his chest, his arm hugging her close.

Kara eyes fluttered open, "Morning."

His chest raised suddenly and she shoved him back down. He smiled at her, "Good morning, beautiful."

"How'd you sleep?"

"Well, we didn't do a whole lot of it, but once we did I slept great. How about you?"

"Same here. I had fun last night," She exclaimed, biting her bottom lip and gazing into his eyes.

"As did I."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah," He said, "So, what do you want for breakfast?"

"Surprise me," She replied, her eyes heavy, beginning to close again.

"Will do. It'll be ready in about five minutes," He unwrapped his arm and attempted to sit up. Kara pushed on his chest, forcing his body back down.

"How about 25?"

He flopped his head back onto the pillow, "We can't lay here all day you know?"

"Why not?" She pouted her lips at him.

"We have work today."

"We can call in sick."

Mon-El laughed, "You can't call in sick to the DEO."

Kara pushed herself up onto her knees and leaned over him, "Yeah huh. I'll just tell them I solar flared."

"You've got this all figured out, haven't you?"

"Pretty much."

"Come on, we have to get up," He said, attempting to get up again. He was unsuccessful. Kara collapsed onto his chest and put her arms around his neck. He rolled to the side, prying her arms from his neck, though he was sure she'd left a mark or two.

Kara reached her arms toward him as he got up off of the bed, "No, don't g- Never mind, you can go, you're making me food."

20 minutes later

Mon-El stood over the stovetop. He'd made pancakes and bacon. He retrieved a few ziplock bags from the cabinet and began putting the food into them. He realized he hadn't heard much movement coming from the bedroom, "Kara, you up yet?" He shouted.

To his surprise, Kara yelled back, "Yeah!" She came fast walking up to him, her robe so hastily thrown on, it was nearly floating off of her frame.

"Did you really just get out of bed?" He asked, arching his eyebrow at her.

She placed a hand on her hip and raised her brow in response, "Are you really surprised?"

"No."

"Thank you for making breakfast," She said, leaning over and planting a kiss on his cheek

"You're welcome," He replied, smiling down at the counter.

"You know, it was really strange this morning."

"What was?"

"Not being woken up by a 3 year old jumping up and down on top of us at 5:30am."

"Yeah, it's always strange when we get to sleep in."

"I know, how am I even supposed to function without all the extra time I usually have?"

"I don't know, it's gonna be a toughie."

"Is the coffee ready?"

"That's the first thing I made," He said, handing her a travel mug.

"You know me so well."
