LAUREN'S POINT OF VIEW

I heard some knocks on my door, so I opened it. "Why don't you come out of your room, princess?" Mom asked. I wish you can still call me princess after you find out the truth.

"Okay, Mom." We went downstairs and I was startled when I saw Winter was going to get the picture of her and her Mom. "What are you doing, Winter?" I asked that made her looked at me.

"Why is there a picture of me and my Mom here?" her forehead twitched.

I was about to speak when Tito Jerome came out from the dining hall and spoke. "It's Lauren's mother's request, anak. They also have a picture of Flinn and Flinn's mother here." Tito got the picture of Flinn and her mother and he showed it to Winter.

"Then, why is my face covered here?" Winter asked.

"Flinn's face is also covered, Winter," I answered.

She just nodded. "I'll just cook our dinner, princess, sweetie, Mr. Schneider." Mom went to the kitchen and Tito Jerome also went to the kitchen.

"Can I ask something, Lauren?" I was nervous because Winter is serious when she asked it.

I smiled nervously. "What is it, Winter?"

"What do you mean by what you said earlier on the garden?"

"It's nothing, Winter. Just forget it." I tried my best not to stutter.

"Let me repeat to you what you said to me before. You can fool yourself, but not me, Lauren. You can't fool your friend because I know you so well. So, I'm very sure that it has a meaning." She really is serious.

"I told you, it doesn't has a meaning."

She shrugged her shoulders. "Well, if you don't want to say it to me, I won't insist it. Because I'm sure that you has your reason and you will say it to me on the right time," she said before she left.

"Why are you making me so guilty, Winter?" I looked at the picture. "Do you already have an idea and that's the reason why you are asking me?" To tell you the truth, I really am guilty for keeping this secret from Winter, but it isn't my fault. It's Tito Jerome's fault because he don't want it to say to Winter!

Winter has rights to know the truth and Mom as well. And based on Dad's gestures since then, I think, he also know the truth, but he's just keeping it! Dad is keeping it because he is selfish! I wanted to ask him, 'Dad, why don't you just find Mom?' But I can't because I don't have the guts.

Argh! I hate Tito! I hate Dad! I hate them! But, wait?! I'm also keeping it, so it's also my fault. I hate myself!

I pulled my hair out of frustration when I heard Tito's voice. "What's the problem, Lauren?" he asked.

I looked at him. "Why don't we just say the truth to them, Tito?"

"We can't yet, Lauren. We still need to find the right time. I hope you understand," he looked down.

"To tell you the truth, Tito, I can still understand you before. But it's different right now, Tito. Completely different. I think, Winter has an idea, and it's making me so guilty. My conscience is eating me, Tito. So, I don't really understand you."

"It's just an idea, Lauren. I'm sure, my daughter isn't still sure about her idea."

I shook my head. "Can you hear yourself right now, Tito?! What if Winter is sure about it, huh? You will still not say it?!"

"I told you that we're going to say it on the right time, Lauren."

"And, when is that right time, Tito?! You don't understand my point here. They have the rights to know, Tito! Especially Winter because I'm sure that she miss her so much. I heard everything that happened on the guidance before, Tito. I heard how much Winter is hurt. I heard her reasons why she became like that, Tito. I heard everything."
