Chapter 10: Operation Sanitized

~6s POV~

"Morning Luke." "Morning Rina." We both smile at each other and start to blush. "How you doing now?" Lukas comes over with a bowl of cereal and hands it to me. "Well, my side is ok, just not the best. Still hurts, but you being here makes me feel better." I told him before a spoon of my food in my mouth. "Aww, well that's good. You saying that just made my day 10x better." He sits next to me and eats his food while texting who I assume is Sonia, who was already at headquarters training. "Soni says we've got an hour to get down there since we've got alot of stuff to complete for this plan Rina." I nod, and we continue to eat our breakfast and then get ready to head out to headquarters.

As I got dressed, I noticed that my bandage that was on my injury was covered in blood and needed changing. "Hey Luke, can you help change my bandage please?" "Yeah, I'll get the medkit now." I put my top on as Luke searches for the medkit. When he came in, I was thankfully already dressed so it wansnt awkward. I had already taken my previous bandage off, so all we had to do is re-wrap it, and that was what Lukas was doing. Before he wrapped it, he took a look at it and touched it, causing me to flinch in pain. "You sure you're gonna be able to help Rina? It still looks pretty bad." He stops touching it and proceeds to wrap it up. "Yeah, I'll be fi--ow" "Sorry." "It's ok Luke. As I was saying, I'll be fine. As long as your there with me, I'll be absolutely fine." Lukas blushes and then looks up at me. I blush back and he kisses my cheek. "Well as long as you're ok, I'm happy. And, finished." He had finished wrapping my side and secured it with a little bow. "So, you ready to go to base?" He asked me as he picked both our weapons up and put them in a bag, along with the tech stuff we needed for our part of the plan. "Yeah, lets go!" He opened the door for me and then held my hand on the way to headquarters.

~8s POV~

"I'm going to set off soon 2. Yeah. Yeah. Mhm. Ok, see ya there!" I headed out of the door in my agent uniform, headset on my head, and weapon in hand. Today was the day; the day Tar Tar was taken down for good and Cora comes home with me, and Leon with Sonia. I was slightly tired due to not bieng able to sleep as I couldn't stop thinking about Cora, but the energy from bieng glad I can finally see her again helped me. 8am; the sun was in the sky, but not many inklings or octolings were out in the square. I look around to make sure no one is looking at me before jumping down the manhole to get to headquarters.

"Hey 8, you ready to execute this plan today?" 1 came over and asked me as I entered headquarters. "Yeah I am. I think I'm just exited to get Cora back more than anything." I replied. "I think everyone is exited to see our friends again 8. I just need you to promise me one thing, you will follow the plan, not go straight for 3. If you don't follow the plan, you're in deep sh--" "I think he gets the point 1." 2 comes over and stands next to 1. "I think it's time 8, let's get the team together and crash this party." I agree with 2 and we gather the team together.

"You all know your roles and you all know the drill. Get in, get our friends, defeat the enemy, get out. For one last time, hands in the middle. 8, would you do the honours." "I would gladly 2. 3... 2... 1... Squidbeak Splatoon!" We all through our hands up in the air shouting Squidbeak Splatoon for the last time of this mission before getting on the helicopter. "5, get the helicopter in the sky, it's time we save our friends and defeat Commander T. 6, Lukas, start up the software. Everyone else, prepare for the fight of your lives." 2 had taken over as leader, putting me at second in command, but she did it so I could focus on the mission at hand and saving my love. It was a 10 minute ride, so me and 7 talked on our way there.

"You nervous at all 8?" "About what?" "Seeing 3 and 4 Sanitized, bieng controlled and brainwashed? Nervous about fighting them? Nervous about..." "Seeing them injured afterward? I guess it's gonna be really hard for you. Not seeing him for 3 years, and now finally seeing him but having to fight him instead of having hugs and kisses. I know how you feel 7." "Well, for you, it's gonna be hard to fight her. You've seen her be tortured, nearly killed, in pain. How much worse can it get?" "Well, I'm not sure. But what I do know is that my nervous feelings can be pushed down, and that's what's happening now. I don't have to worry about anything to do with those feelings, all I have to worry about is the mission ahead. You should try do the same, it'll help through the battle." "Thanks for those tips 8." "We are here now team, 7, 8 you ready to head in with me and 1?" 2 asked as she got out of the co-pilot seat and came over to us. "Let's do this." 7 said, replying to the question. "Great! Let's go then!" 2 replied back, and we all hopped off and headed into the entrance we had created last time we had invaded.
