'So sit down everyone.'
I felt so uncomfortable seeing people I worked with on the other side of the glass.
I wasn't invited in the room.
"Stay behind the glass and look at their faces and reactions, if it isn't natural write it down."I thought I would be in the room and not behind the one way window.
Sounds like the perfect enjoyment.
'So what did you guys expect?'
'I'm sorry?'
'What did expect to happen when you crossed the wall?'
'Freedom.'I see how the man I love roams trough the room looking rather intimating.
'Yeah no, that's bullshit,' he states.
'No we..'
'Listen, your freedom isn't guaranteed here, you guys wouldn't risk being locked up here. What I think is.. you are either stupid or brave.'What is he on about?
'Brave?'
'Trying to turn against me in my own city,' he explains.
'No we really just fled, it's easier to flee into a city close by than Canada.'
'Fine.'Fine? Just like that.. fine?
What the fuck is fine about this situation?'How's Rose doing by the way?'
'Calum will consider murdering you if you had the balls to ask me that when he's around.'I mean.. he's not wrong..
'And I'm sure he could.. but that wasn't an answer.'
'She's.. fine I guess, didn't really see her for a while,' Felix mutters.
'So you didn't even say goodbye?'
'I tried to.. she wasn't there.'He nods his head to the right making two men come in and take him away.
Soon he comes out in the same room as I am.
'Calum?'
'You could've expected me to be here.'He takes a step towards me and immediately gets pulled back by guards.
'Hey relax! This is the right door, he's no danger.'
'I'm sorry sir, orders.'
'Orders?!' I yell.A hand forces me to sit back down again.
'Calum behave.'
'I'm not a dog! Why do you need to keep people away from me?'
'Orders,' he repeats.
'From who?'
'Mr Parker.'I try to get up but fail once again.
'Behave and do your job.'
I see how they lead Felix out of the room.
Just when he's about to go out the door he turns his head back.
'Rose isn't fine.'
'What do you mean?'He doesn't get the chance to respond and the door closes.
'No wait! Don't close the door! Dammit come back!'
'Behave!'Behave.
I close my eyes and try not to scream by bitting the inside of my mouth.
'Woof.'
My eyes focus on the room again.
'
'And?'
'Here's the list, good luck.'I hand over the list of things I found suspicious and make my way over to the door.
Of course I get stopped by strong hands.
'Let me go.'
The guard just stares ahead like I'm nothing more than a player in a game.
'Levi.'
'What's wrong?' He replies while reading the list.
'Tell them to let me go.'He makes a quick hand gesture, to release me and makes his way over to me.
'Darling what's wrong?'
'I just need to.. take a walk.'
'If you wait I can come with?' He suggests.
'No it's fine.'
'Well then uh.. Kyle will you..'
'No Levi, alone.'He takes a hold of my hand and gives it a quick squeeze.
'Okay, go ahead, when will you be back?'
'I don't know.'
'I need to know,' he responds strictly.I sigh.
'I'll be inside the building.'
'Don't get lost.''
'Tell me what's wrong.'
We were sitting in the back of the car and I started crying out of nowhere.
'I'm fine.'
'Love, you don't look fine.'I take a deep breath.
'Why am I treated like a prisoner?'
'What do you mean?'
'I can't go anywhere and the guards don't listen to me,' I explain. He sighs and places his hand down on my knee. We had this conversation many times before, but never while I cried.. I didn't cry anymore.
'It's getting too much isn't it?'
'I just.. I can't explain.'He decides to keep him mouth shut making the long way home unbearable.
'Levi I..'
'Don't apologize for silence Calum.'His hand is placed down on my cheek and his soft thumb wipes away the salty tears.
'It's okay to cry love, I can't even recall the last time you did.'
'When I broke my wrist,' I murmur back.I remember how I stupidly tripped while being drunk and thought it was a good idea to lean all my weight on my poor wrist dislocating and breaking it in the process.
'It wasn't smart to get drunk right after you recovered,' he states.
'I wanted to have some fun! I was suffering in that bed for way to long.'
'You couldn't even walk properly yet!'
'Levi please, we already fought about this,' I sigh, 'you could've stopped me.'
'I tried.. you're just extremely stubborn when you're just barely sober.'My eyes lit up when an idea hits me.
'No Calum you're not getting drunk it's Wednesday!'
'That never stopped us?'It's like the wires suddenly connect in my head, he wasn't just absent because he got handed over a city.
I should have noticed.. he seemed so alert about even the smallest sounds and the guards.'Levi what is going on?' I ask.
'What do you mean?'
'Don't start with the "What are you taking about" bullshit!' My eyes stare right into his with a strict look plastered on my face, 'Tell me what the danger is.'
'It's nothing.' 'Levi please!'
'I can't tell you, not yet.'I let an annoyed groan leave my lips while turning away from him.
Why can't he just tell me what's going on? All he's receiving now is a pissed husband.
