How Long Will I Love You?

Nope. I think I can't do it.

She bit her lower lip in frustration as she tries to contact her best friend who suddenly asked her for a favor. She was sitting comfortably on a pastel yellow-colored loveseat sofa near the glass window, her favorite spot in the café because of the outside view. She typed crazily in her laptop as she tries to compose a convincing message to her best friend to find somebody else aside from herself.

I can't cancel this project. The date was already set and it would be rude to postpone the photo shoot. I promise I'll catch up and help you after settling some things. Irene will be leading the team so... please?

Her brows furrowed into a frown after reading her message. She sighed in defeat. She really can't do anything when it's her best friend who asks for a favor because; number one, she is persistent and number two, she can be very persistent to the point that you just have to give in because she won't stop until you agree.

She guzzled her iced americano with white chocolate mocha absent-mindedly and munched on her blueberry cheesecake. The café staffs caught her attention as they busily fix an area of the café, building a makeshift stage in a corner and arranging musical instruments.

"Mic test. One. Two."

A guy who appears to be the owner of the café based on how the staff acknowledged his presence went up the stage. He exudes a warm and friendly vibe as he walks confidently towards the center of the stage.

"Good evening everyone! I am inviting you all to join our special event which is Acoustic Night in celebration of merging The Café and The Bar... free glass of beer to all the costumers here right now and for the next 30 people who will enter the Café Bar. So invite your friends now and let's all enjoy the night!"

Yahoooo! Wooohooo!

Everyone cheered and seemed to be having a good time. The atmosphere was hyped-up after the owner's announcement. The current mood in the area was contagious that she felt a bit giddy. She smiled to herself at the thought of Acoustic Night and free beer.

Acoustic Night. Wait. What?! Night?!

She glanced outside the window and was shocked to see the city lights illuminating n the dark. She mentally slapped herself for failing to check on the time. A pout formed on her lips at the sight of the half-eaten cake. Her stomach growled in protest, reminding her that it's time to eat dinner and the unfinished cake won't be enough.

She packed her laptop and fixed her things while she waits for the food she just ordered - chicken and free beer goes well together. She eyed her digital camera which she brought along with her laptop and sighed. She was worried about the photo shoot because it was for a magazine and she's not even a pro! The only thing that's keeping her from crossing the line where she loses her sanity is the fact that she'll be helping Irene - she's going there to assist and that's a relief.

She studied the basics of photography on a whim and it became one of her hobbies. She loves taking pictures and it's all thanks to luck that she can capture great moments with her camera thus earning her a few cash. What Yeri, her best friend, asked of her is quite big though because it's for a freakin' magazine! She's lucky but not that confident.

She was still lost in her thoughts when she heard the strumming of guitar creating a familiar melody. A man with clear and mesmerizing voice started to sing WHERE ARE YOU by Justine Roman and Natalie Soluna. His voice echoed throughout the place. Some started singing along and she was no exception. The corner of her lips twitched and turned into a smile right at the moment she glanced up and directed her eyes towards the guy singing. He was wearing a black cotton shirt, dark blue jeans and sneakers. He was gorgeous, the kind of face that can make heads turn and stare with his plump pinkish lips, perfect nose, and soft-angled brows that accentuates his cool onyx eyes. His black, wavy hair looks soft and sways as he moves.
