Chapter 6

Third-person
(Four months later in a conference room)

Captain America, black widow, black panther, tony, war machine, ant-man, Hawkeye , Vision, Wanda, Falcon, and Bucky Barnes are sitting in a tense silence for what feels like an eternity when finally Director Fury walks in, in all his one-eyed glory.

"Really this is just sad the avengers are supposed to be protecting the world not getting in fights with each other" he glares at each person in the room making them squirm.

Scott is about to speak up saying that he isn't an avenger but fury cuts in before he can "you fought you're now an avenger like it or not" pointing to him, Bucky and Clint.

"You will work together and not against each other is that understood" glaring at mainly tony and Steve. "Both of you made mistakes so both of you are to blame."

Fury pulls out a screen that then shows when the debris was about to fall on Steve and Bucky "if riptide hadn't of caught that both of you would have been dead right now.' He then shows when rhodey is falling 'analysis shows that rhodey would have lost mobility in both his legs if once again riptide hasn't showed up".

The avengers share a looking saying that they would together again fury catches this and inwardly smiles.

He then redirects his attention to stark and says "get them here"

Tony and Steve look at each other "they're just kids" but their boss hardens his glare on the two.

Tony sighs before calling out and looking a the screen "F.R.I.D.A.Y video call Percy and Peter Parker".

Bucky says something that's on the mind of the rest "they're brothers"

"Adopted" is the only response he gets back with tony not removing his eyes from the screen.

There's a few seconds of silence before F.R.I.D.A.Y calls back out "ok"

The interest of the other heroes is also brought to the screen wanting to know who was behind the mask.

The screen cuts to a room that has two bed one has a brown headed teenager reading and the other is empty as Percy only just walks in, cuffing the sleeves of his flannel and notices the call.

Percy glares and rolls his eyes he looks at stark and mouths 'remember what I said' before turning to his brother that didn't even look up with a smile and says "Alright Pete I'm going to head out don't make any stupid decisions".

Peter only glances up with a raised eyebrow "I should be telling you that you're the one going on a date"

"At least I can land a date unlike someone and it's not like it's our first one either" referring to him.

"Just get outta here" peter says pointing to the door,
chuckling he walks out with his wallet and grabbing his skateboard.

"Hey kiddo" tony starts as soon as the door closes making the teen jump and send a web towards the video screen as the team stifles laughter.

"Shit, O-oh h-hey mr.stark what's up" then he notices the others but not director fury or agent coulson who are hidden in the back "uhh mr.stark"

"Don't worry about it underoos our boss convinced us to work together but we do need to tell you something"

Peter is even more confused and scrunches his eyebrows setting his book down a sitting a bit straighter.

"Ok hi everyone' he says kinda awkwardly waving at the others 'what's the threat or what do you need."

"No, no threat but because of the fight you're now an avenger" he slowly says "along with riptide your brother"

"Ok I'll wait for him to get back to tell him, and you named him riptide" Peter says kinda amused but also really excited. "Also I'm in Percy will probably say yes too"

"Nice and ehh it seemed to fit and he didn't complain so it just stuck".

"Ok we'll be there in a couple of hours is that ok I don't know how long perce will take and he doesn't have a phone so I tell you when we are on the way"

"Ok... wait he doesn't have a phone"

"Yah I'll leave that for him to explain"

"Ok then we'll see you in a little while pack some bags I'll get your rooms ready for when you stay over"

Peter just nods and walks out of the room after waving to the camera.

Tony ends the call and turns to his boss and teammates "so what do you think"

"What was Percy referring to when he mouthed that" fury says after a moment of silence.

"When I first met the boys I didn't know about Percy only Peter or Spider-Man but I was able to tell Percy definitely plays the protective big brother role and wanted him to be safe and after he showed me his powers I figured the more help the better oh and he said 'where peter goes I go' so he'll probably come too"
