Chapter 7

When Percy gets back

Percy walks into his apartment with a small apartment thinking of what just happened. No not that get your mind outta the gutter.

They went to fair and went out to lunch before he dropped him off.

The surprisingly had no monster attacks while out which was slightly concerning but they blew it off as nothing.

He hasn't been smiling or really exerting happiness since he got back so this was different.

All happiness and smiles were gone remembering that he left peter with a call from the avengers.

Wide eyes he runs to make sure his brother is still home even if May isn't. To his surprise, Peter was casually sitting on his bed with two bags packed and the side of his bed.

Putting on a carefree expression to hide his real feelings slightly coughing to get his attention "so peter what did the avengers want"

"They said that since the airport fight we are now avengers and will stay at the tower part-time"

Sucking in a breath knowing I have to go for peters sake" Does May know"

"No I figured you would have an excuse," Peter says kinda sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck.

Percy thinks about what he just got told "what did I tell you about making stupid decisions"

"Oh, well I thought I would be able to help more people this way and being an avenger would be so cool"

"Yes I might be cool but also deadly and more likely our identities could be revealed have a bigger target on our backs"

"I-I didn't really think about that one but I figured you would say yes so I packed your bags for you"percy just noticed the bag on his bed that is packed.

Sighing "ok I'll find an excuse for may but I might need stark to make some fake files and certificates"

"What!" Peter looks at his younger brother with raised eyebrows and wide eyes.

Percy just winks in response "what time are they expecting us anyway"

"I told them a few hours a few hours ago."

Percy drags a hand over his face "so soon?"

"Yup" Peter says with excitement basically steaming off him making Percy smile slightly at his brother.

On the inside Percy is breaking down since he doesn't really trust these guys but also won't let peter alone and potentially get hurt badly. Even though he definitely saw how tony would look at peter like a son he just wants to make sure himself.

Peter leaves the room to write may a note that they will be gone for a while while Percy stuffs extra ambrosia and nectar into his bag.

Percy starts debating whether or not he should vapor trail to the tower or not and finally realizing that he should keep most of his powers a secret for as long as possible and hopefully walking will give peter a chance to calm down as well.

"You ready" Percy asks peter as he walks back into their shared room.

"Yup, let's go" peter grabs his bags as Percy does the same as well as their shoes and leave to the tower.
