Mason, Lexi, Finn, and Xenna arrived back at the hotel around 6:00. They walked into the boys' suite were Dylan, Brian, and their friends were waiting. The teens ran over, exclaiming in delight and hugged them."Welcome back," greeted Kardierre.
"Glad you guys are okay," sighed Essence.
"Yeah, we thought something happened to you," Bree added.
"Hey, we're fine," Mason reassured.
"Yeah, we wouldn't say goodbye without seeing you guys first," Finn stated. This makes their friends laugh.
"Okay. If you guys don't mind, we need to talk to Mason, Finn, and Lexi," Xenna said.
"And after we're done, pizza on us," Mason added. Just like that, his friends agree, and they left the suite.
"So," Dylan began. "How was your first day as secret agents?"
At once, the teens spoke on what they've experienced. They talked about meeting Arnold to fighting his guards to the chase in Central Park.
"It was awesome!" exclaimed Finn.
"Better than fighting zombies, I say, " Lexi added.
"No kidding," Mason agreed.
"Wish we could've seen what Walker was up to. Me and Dil had our hands tied."
"Don't worry. I was able to record everything." Xenna pulls up the footage of the teen's encounter with Arnold on her laptop. "It appears that Arnold created a laser called the Igno-Matic." She shows them a photo of the machine. "He's planning on using it on the entire population of teens."
"He said he wants to make sure that adults stay superior," Mason explained.
"Well...he's gonna have a hard time doing that." The agents turn to see Finn, grinning like a happy hyena.
"What do you mean, Finn?"
Finn takes out the glowing object he took from the Igno-Matic and placed it on the table.
"What is that?"
"I saw this thing powering the laser. So, your boy stole it."
"Good work, bro." Mason and Finn do their handshake.
"No. Not 'good work.' Arnold says that 50% of students are brainless."
"Well, yeah, but I think we could modify the laser to where it would undo the loss. That way, we still manage to save the teens and arrest Arnold."
"He's right," Lexi agreed. "Don't gigantic lasers have like reverse switches or something?"
Xenna reviewed the video and zoomed in on the laser to where the switch was. "There."
"Perfect," said Finn. "So, the next time we go back to the Black Cat, we confront Arnold, put this back into the laser, reverse the switch, and make everything go back to normal."
"Cool," Brian said.
"I'll call Chief and tell him what happened."
Dylan started to walk towards the bedroom when Mason called out to him. "Dylan, wait."
"What?"
He thought for a moment but said: "Nothing. I forgot what I was gonna say."
Dylan just looked at him and resumed dialing Chief Walter's number on his phone. Mason turned around to face Brian and Xenna, who were suspicious.
"Okay. What's up?" Brian asked.
"Oh, nothing..."
"...except that..."
"...we found Dylan's brother."
"Shut up."
"We're serious."
"It's true," Xenna reassured. "Saw him myself."
"This is great."
"But there is one problem," Lexi explained.
"Arnold used the Igno-Matic on him," Mason revealed.
"Dumb as a brick but still alive," Finn stated.
"Does Dylan know?"
"Not yet."
"Well, shouldn't we go rescue him?"
"Why did you think I came up with that plan? After we modify the Igno-Matic, we'll turn him back to normal along with the other teens."
"Genius."
"Now, if you don't mind, I'm gonna go change into something more comfortable," Finn says as he walks to the bedroom.
"Me too. Be right back."
"Wait. Lexi."
"Yes?"
"That idea with the grappling hook? Great plan."
Lexi smiles at his comment and says: "Thanks." As she walks out of the suite, Mason blushed and turned around to where Xenna and Brian were watching him with raised eyebrows.
"What?" The agents just smirked at him. "I just said 'great plan.' I mean...come on, I wasn't trying to hint anything. I-you know what? Forget it." Full of embarrassment, Mason walks briskly into bedroom to change his clothes as well.
—————————————————————Back at the Black Cat, Arnold was waiting impatiently in his office. When Arthur walked in, he was battered and sweaty.
"Where were you? What happened? Did you get it back?"
"They shot our van and escape."
"Never mind that. Did you get back the energy orb? I need it for my laser. Without it, my plan is ruined."
"...no?" Arnold just sneered at him.
"For years, children have been the bane of my existence. It's bad enough that stupid Walter has them as secret agents, but to lose to them? I'll never live it down." He bangs his head on his desk. Then, he rose his head up and looked at his security cameras by his door. "Unless..."
Arnold pressed a button on desk. The calendar that was on top was replaced with a screen that showed him four videos in real time. He then pressed the rewind button until one of the screens showed him a video footage from earlier. He paused the video when he saw the teens and zoomed in on Finn's face.
"Him. He's the one who stole my orb. Find him. If he has the orb, bring him to me. And Arthur...if those agents try to get in your way, you know what to do." Arthur nods and walks to the elevator.
"Olivia, find out where these agents live and search for the orb in case they leave it behind." The hostess, Olivia, walked out of the office, followed by two guards.
Arnold sat back on his chair and opened one of his drawers and pulled out a newspaper. He got up and walked over to his fireplace. "Bet you wish you hadn't created that agency. Huh, big guy?" He throws the newspaper into the fire and walks away. The paper had a picture of Chief Walter with Dylan, Brian, and Xenna as it turned to ashes.
