Sprinkles of hot water hit against my body. The run I had this morning has me feeling more energised than tired.
I step out of the shower wrapping my hair in a towel. Drying off my body next I grab my calvin klein sweat pants and matching sports bra getting dress.
Instead of drying my hair, I decide to let it do it's thing and just tie it up in one. Leaving my room and entering the kitchen, I notice Kate is still where I last saw her, now picking at her food.
A sad expression is on her face, Cassie says something before I can address it.
" Come on over and eat your food Sami, it's getting cold, you deciding to take your sweet time in the shower and all".
"Why didn't you join me", I asked as I made my way around the table to Cassie.
A wide smile slowly crept on her face, "In the shower, I already took a bath, sugar".
Then I realised what I had said, my nerves acting up sporadically. At the time I was taking a sip of orange, so I choked when I heard her response to my question.
Cassie came closer rubbing my back. Trying to ease my nerves and clear my throat, I glanced over at Kate.
She was staring at us as if she was putting pieces together. That's not a good sign.
"You know that's not what I meant", I say turning my attention back to Cassie.
"Oh", she says feigning ignorance.
"I meant for a run".
"You and I both know I do enough laborous work around the farm, don't need to add morning runs to my routine. Speaking of farm, finish eat so you can take me to it", she says giving me a peck on the cheek before sauntering her way to my bedroom.
I couldn't help but check her out. She wore one of my large t shirts that hid just enough to tease a girl. Just a bit of her pink laced underwear peaks from under when she moves.
Shit Kate's still her, she probably noticed me eyeing Cass. I look over in her direction, but she's not here. When did she leave.
