~Sans's PoV~

I was hanging out at Toriel and Asgore's party. Telling puns like always. They had gotten back together after talking a bit and going on a few dates. Toriel and Frisk were laughing, while Papyrus was yelling at me and Undyne just had that look that said: "I want to die." Then Chara told a pun, and we started to have a pun competition. (Chara is not evil in this, and Frisk gave her half of her soul so she had a physical body.)

"That was pretty PUNNY, Sans."

"Thanks, kid. Sure hope it it your funny bone."

"It sure did. I liked it a skele-TON."

"Maybe we should stop. Otherwise, Papyrus will yell at us, and we'd be BONED."

By now, Toriel and Frisk were laughing so hard they were on the verge of tears, as Papyrus and Undyne were now yelling at me and Chara.

Papyrus: "SAAAAAAAAAAAANS!"

Sans: "Sorry bro."

Undyne: "WHY CAN'T YOU JUST STOP WITH THE PUNS!!!!"

Sans: "Sorry Undyne."

Undyne: "THIS IS WHY PAPYRUS HATES YOU! THIS IS WHY HE SAID YOU'RE SO LAZY! ALL YOU DO IS ANNOY ME!"

Wait. Papyrus hates me? After I stole food for us,worked hard to get us money at such a young age, and he already hates me? Wow, I must be pretty terrible to make my own brother hate me. 

Sans: "Oh, ok. I'll just leave now."

Undyne and Papyrus: "WAIT, SANS-"

Everyone tried to stop me, but I just ran out the door before they could do anything.

~Nightmare's PoV~

I see my Queen run out of the house. Of course I gave Undyne some more negativity so she would say something rash. I'll finally be able to get my Queen and make him mine.

'I'm coming, my Queen.'

~Sans's PoV~

I ran out of the house crying. They hate me. I'm useless. That's probably why Ink told me not to make any portals. Because I'm too weak. They must hate me too. 

'Useless!'

'Weak!'

'Lazy!'

I run into the nearby forest. (*Plot convenience intensifies*) I don't care anymore. Something could kill me and I wouldn't care. I had just stopped cutting, but now this happens.

"Hello, Sans."

I hear a voice behind me. I jump and make a little pep. 

"Don't be afraid. I'm not going to hurt you."

Uh huh. I'm definitely gonna believe that. 

"So. Who are you?"

"I'm sure Ink must have told you about me. I'm Nightmare, King of Negativity."

I see the figure step closer to me. It's a skeleton covered in pitch black goop, which covers his right eye. 

"So, why are you here?"

I get ready to summon my attacks. From what I heard from Ink, he's bad news.

"I'm just here to help you. I saw what happened back there, and I want to make you an offer."

I get slightly surprised at that. So he saw me crying? Was he stalking me?

"Were you stalking me?"
