Chapter 36

A few days passed and the kiss incident was kind of forgotten. Taeyong returned home and acted like nothing ever happened between them and so did Jaehyun.

The older was only pretending to be completely fine. Jaehyun was also pretending but he didn't know that. He sometimes thought about the older and that night, immediately brushing the thoughts off but work and daily routine made him think about Taeyong less often.

One day Jaehyun told Taeyong to return home without him, because he had to pick Yeri up from the airport. This was the event, that Jaehyun thought will make him stop daydreaming about his roommate. His girlfriend was back, so his thoughts also needed to go back to normal.

He took Yeri to her house and they decided to meet again after the girl has some rest. She promised to text Jaehyun, when she's refreshed enough and they separated with a kiss.

Jaehyun went to his apartment, turning the volume of his phone up, to not miss the text from his girlfriend. He entered the completely dark apartment and looked around. It was as dark as the time, when Taeyong was dyeing his hair.

"What a nice day it was",- Jaehyun thought but started worrying a little.

- Tae? Are you home yet?

There was complete silence but for a second Jaehyun heard someone breathing. He went closer to the couch, from where the sound was made and found Taeyong on the floor between the couch and the wall. The older had bruises and wounds all over his face and hands. He looked like he was trying to hold his breath, while crying for the younger not to find him.

- Oh my god, Tae, what happened?!- Jaehyun started panicking, when he saw how the older looked and his eyes even watered, seeing his roommate like that.

- You can go home by yourself today, right roomie?

- I can but what's the reason?

- Yeri's coming back today. I need to take her home from the airport.

- Oh. Hug her for me too then.

- Will do, now goodbye Tae.

- Mhm, bye bye.

Taeyong got a little sad at the fact, that Yeri was coming back. He didn't want the girl to stay in Switzerland permanently, he just wanted her to dump Jaehyun or something.

"Oh my god, you're like a twelve year old girl."- Taeyong thought to himself and went on mopping the floor. Soon everyone started leaving and Taeyong was the only employee left in the restaurant.

When he was washing the dishes in the kitchen, the door to the chef's office suddenly opened and Taeyong widened his eyes.

"I didn't know, the pig was at work today",- Taeyong thought and looked at his chef.

- Listen, Taeyong. You can't work here anymore... Here's your salary for this month. Now leave.

- Uhm, what? Why, sir? What did I do wrong?

The chef sighed and said in a monotone voice:

- Let's just say someone doesn't want you to work here and he paid me a lot to fire you. But try to understand me, if you were in my place, what would you choose, money or an average employee?
