Endangered Part 3

A/N: Okay people here we go. Last chapter in this book but I have a sequel coming soon. I will post a chapter on here so you know when it is released in a fortnight (although it might be late since I'm away 10-17th August). I do plan on releasing a small preview chapter I wrote early on for this book which might change when I write the next one but I will try to keep it the same since I like it (just like a few bits of this book, it is fully original ideas). Nothing Shiro does works. All he keeps hitting are holograms or projections or leftover images. Eventually, he is surrounded by many Haggar's. Shiro only gets more enraged as the laughter continues.

With the Paladins, the Lions keep destroying the ships but more keep coming.

"This is it! The Princess is in this part of the ship!" Hunk informs the others.

"How do we get in?" Lance asks.

"Maybe I can try hacking one of their cargo bays," Pidge suggests.

"We don't have time for that!" Hunk replies.

"Do you have a better idea?" Pidge retorts.

"Actually, yes, I do," Hunk answers.

"Huh?" Allura mutters, hearing all the commotion.

Hunk smashes Yellow's face through the wall and starts shooting sentries.

"Sir, the hull's been breached. It's one of the Lions," Thace informs Prorok.

"Focus fighters on that quadrant."

"Looks like we've got to cover Hunk's butt!" Lance says to Pidge.

"Hunk!" Allura gasps.

"We're going to get you out of here," Hunk says coming through a hole in the door he made.

"What are you doing here? Tell me you didn't bring Voltron straight to Zarkon's central command! Where's the Black Lion?" Allura barely pauses to hear Shiro groan through her earrings (aware of the connection between Zarkon, Black and Shiro), "We have to save Shiro!"

"Hunk, did you get the Princess?" Lance asks over the comms.

"I got her, but there's a change of plans."

With Shiro, Haggar tries to get into his head, "I made you strong and this is how you repay me?" Shiro attacks Haggar, who puts up a shield of magic, tossing Shiro away with the recoil, "You could have been our greatest weapon," she fires magic at Shiro, continuously, only for him to dodge, causing smoke to cover the area, grabbing Shiro with a glowing prosthetic arm, the smoke clearing and revealing another Shiro in his attire from the arena, "Now, I will destroy you. You and that kit," she says, voice overlapping with Shiro's, laughing as goop consumes Shiro.

His vision fades to black, the laughing continuing, and he falls, Haggar appearing in the dark. She charges with a battle cry.

Meanwhile, Keith continues his battle with Zarkon. Red shoots at him only to be blocked by the Bayard's shield. Then, Red lands and the Bayard forms a sword, Red charging and shooting whilst Zarkon is propelled by a jet pack. Zarkon wins and Red falls, alarms blaring. Zarkon forms a large blaster and shoots at Red, but they dodge at the last minute. Coran watches it destroy part of the ring around the command ship.

"Keith, get out of there!" Coran orders.

Alarms blare inside Red as Zarkon comes back to attack Keith with his sword, but Red dodges, whining, Black finally stopping with the apologies, even if it's only to not distract Keith and Red. The damage to the Galra Command Ship is felt though as alarms blare at the command module and the ship shakes. Keith turns around and forms the jaw blade, charging towards Zarkon.

"Keith, do you copy? You don't know what you're dealing with! He's too powerful! Listen to me, it's imperative that you don't engage the..."

Keith turns off the communicator and flies full speed towards Zarkon, who launches an extendable chain towards Red. He manages to dodge a couple of times, but Red is eventually grabbed by the hind legs and pulled onto the ship. Red is down. Zarkon forms his sword and charges with his repulsion technology in the backs of his legs.

"No!" Keith pants, thinking, "Mom, please! Help!" Red, despite being injured, manages to activate the plasma cannon which throws off Zarkon's balance, when the man uses his sword to block, destroying a large section of the ring around the command centre.

"Whoa!" Keith gasps, shooting more beams, chasing Zarkon, but not catching him.

"You fight like a Galra soldier. But not for long!" Zarkon moves to end Keith, using a large staff-like alien tennis racket thing to bat Red onto the ship.

Meanwhile, Haggar tries to destroy Shiro, once and for all.

Shiro moves backwards, trying to watch all the Haggar's at once. He keeps trying to hit her, but she keeps dodging. She manages to cut Shiro, forming a large glowing purple claw mark on his right side.

"And now, Champion, your time is over."

"Which one's the real one?" Hunk asks, once he and Allura arrive, Haggar's laughter continuing.

Allura sees through the projections and points to the one with an orb of magic, "Hunk, there! Fire!"

Hunk shoots Haggar multiple times, who uses a shield to deflect the shots, her clones disappearing, disappearing when Shiro attempts to attack her.

"We've got to get out of here!" Allura orders, helping Shiro up.

"Where's the scary lady?" Hunk asks.

"Hunk!"

"Oh, right."

They leave, but Red is still struggling to function. Zarkon forms his sword and charges at the defenceless Lion and Paladin.

"Come on! Come on!" Keith begs.

The Black Lion swoops in and blasts Zarkon away in time. Black flies in and carries the Red Lion to the Castle.

"I got you, buddy!" Shiro yells to Keith, the Lions cheering.

"All right, Paladins, time to get out of here!" Allura tries to activate the wormhole.

"Hello? What's going on? I don't see a wormhole," Hunk asks.

"The Galra barrier is jamming our ability to create one!" Coran answers.

"Send in everything we've got! Corner them!" Prorok orders.

Elsewhere in the ship, a Galra male carrying a knife approaches a drone.

"This sector is off limits," it manages before being destroyed.

Another at the consoles is stabbed. The intruder deactivates the barrier keeping the Paladins contained.

"They have us completely surrounded!" Coran yells as the barrier deactivates.

Thace retrieves his weapon.

"What just happened?" Pidge asks.

"Who cares? Wormhole!" Hunk cheers with the Lions.

They activate a wormhole that Haggar hits with her magic as they enter.

"Coran, what's happening?" Shiro asks.

"The integrity of the wormhole has been compromised. It's breaking down!" Coran answers.

"What does that mean?" Lance screams.

"It means we have no control over where we're headed!"

Everyone groans. First, Red and Black are ejected and lost out to the wormhole, followed by Blue, Yellow and Green. Everyone screams and yells and groans at the bumpy ride while being scattered apart from one another.
