I surrendered my phone and get ready for school. I put my hair in a a high ponytail last night and now it looks like something died on top of my head, but mom is screaming for me to hurry up so I left my hair in the dead opossum state it's in.

I saw Tez in the parking lot so I waved bye to hayes and ran to catch up with him. "Tez!" I called "aye Dez" he said "Jessica.. Really?" I asked "I knew you would be like that." He said looking away from me, annoyed.
"Like what? Mad that just because you're in an argument with Lue you ask another girl?" I said "yep" he laughed "look whatever yall fought about I know you'll get over it" I said "she didn't tell you?" Tez asked completely stopping, standing there for a second, then walking again.
"Bruh. I caught her kissing some other guy on the cheek" he said "I'm sure she has an explanation" I said "she did but I didn't want to hear it" he smirked. "What if it was her cousin or something? You'll never know because you didn't hear her out" I said eyeing him then leaving to my first period.

I walked to lunch and opened my locker to a big sign popping open like in a children's book. It said prom? And I turned around to Mel with a dozen tulips. "Hell yea!" I laughed hugging him. He gave me the flowers then we went to lunch. "Nice pop out thing it scared the shit out of me" i said sarcastically. He laughed as we sat down with Lue and Tez totally not looking at each other.
"This is exactly what yall tried to avoid by having feelings for each other" I said pointing to the two of them. They looked at each other then snapped their heads back noticing each others look. "Tez let Lue tell you the story" I said wanting to know what happened myself.
"Fine." He said "he was an old family friend I grew up with and it was simply a friendly gesture" she said "yea it's gon be real friendly when he gets you in his bed" Tez said slouching and rolling his eyes. "Tez come on" Mel said laughing a bit. "If it was just your friend I guess it was fine" he said basically saying he forgave her.. In Tez language.
"So prom is in 2 months are you going to dump Jessica for Lue or not?" I asked "I guess" he said trying to act chill. Classic Tez. "Yay" I said "I already gotta date" Mel said smirking "who?" Lue asked "me" I laughed "I knew you two would end up together!" She said
"We're not together we're going as friends" Mel said "yea" I said. "Whatever" Tez said not believing us. "We've been buds for like 6 years Were not going to ruin in now" Mel said, going against the wink he gave me in L.A.
We left after the bell rang, me and Mel hanging back from Lue and Tez. Once they were out of ear shot I looked at Mel, and grabbed his hand "can we please talk about last weekend?" I asked
"Destiny please just drop it. It was a tiny moment of weakness and it will never happen again trust me" he said "why not?" I asked "because you're Dez and I'm Mel. We're bestfriends, not boyfriend and girlfriend" he said
