Luke comes over later, and Ashton orders a pizza and we hang out outside by our little campfire.
"How about some music?" Luke suggests, picking up his guitar. Michael comes outside, carrying his.
We sit and watch the two of them work out what to play. "You sing." Michael says to Luke, who nods.
They start singing a few songs, and it's amazing how for so little communication they can connect through their music.
The sun sets, and crickets chirp.
I feel like I'm going to remember this night forever.

I hear someone open my door.
"Sophia? Are you awake?" Someone whispers.
"Mikey? Come in." I yawn.
"Can I sleep with you?" He asks timidly.
"Of course." I scoot over and pull the corner of my blankets up for him. He clambers into bed, fitting himself against me.
"I can't sleep." He whispers.
"What's wrong?"
"I'm... I don't know. Never mind."
"What, Mikey?"
"I'm scared." He admits.
"Of what?"
"The future."
"Oh. Why?"
"I don't know. It's silly," He chuckles, "but I missed you."
"I saw you an hour ago."
"I know, but I don't want to be alone. I'm scared."
"Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
"Just try to get some sleep, okay?"
"Okay." Michael says.
"But... Soph, I thought I should tell you... Luke's YouTube is getting bigger. Like, we have more subscribers, and we're gonna be going away for a while. I just wanted to tell you before we leave."
"When are you leaving?"
"Next month. We're not going for too long, just for a little bit. And you can come if you want." His voice becomes shaky. "I don't want to leave you."
"Aw, Michael." I hug him close. "It's okay. I want you to do what makes you happy."
"I can't be happy without you." He sniffles, and I hear him cry.
"Hey, I'll always be there for you."
"God, I hate being so emotional." He wipes his eyes.
"It's normal for our age." I assure him.
"I know, but I feel like the other boys don't cry."
"Ashton cries. He's just quiet and keeps to himself when he's upset."
Michael rolls over so his back is facing me.
"I'm sorry if I get in your way, Soph."
"No, you never get in my way."
"Goodnight, Sophie." He yawns, cuddling into my pillow.
"Goodnight Michael." I whisper.
I stay awake for at least an hour or two after he falls asleep. He keeps himself close to me when he sleeps, which I like. He's cuddly and soft and warm when he sleeps. I run my hands over his hair as he sleeps, and my eyelids begin to feel heavy. I start to doze off, and fall asleep next to my favorite person in the world.
