Michael wraps his arm around my shoulders, hugging me into him.
"I'm gonna miss this." He sighs, his lips gently kissing the side of my cheek.
"Me too." I say, cuddling into him. He sighs, and runs his fingers down my side, stopping when he reaches my waist, drumming his fingers on my stomach. "I'm going to miss you so much."
"Mm." He murmurs. "Me too. I'm already missing you, and you're right here."
I sigh deeply and close my eyes. His warm, soft lips kiss my forehead and I fade into an easy snooze. I wake up after about two hours, and look up at the moonlight face of my boyfriend, the light causing his pale skin to glow, exposing every angle and shadow. I pull myself up and kiss his crimson lips, and his eyelids flutter. I don't want to wake him, so I lie down again. I can feel his chest rising and falling with each breath, and my eyelids become heavy. "Soph, look at the stars." He says, causing me to flinch with his sudden input on things.
"They're beautiful."
"Sophia, when we're apart, I look at the stars, and I see you. I see your eyes, they sparkle, and I see your brilliant smile, and I love you. So I love the stars."
I'm at a loss for words. The only thing I can do to show him how much that meant to me is kiss him, so I tilt my head up and kiss him. He sits up, grabbing my waist and pulling me onto his legs. Then he wraps his arms around my back and kisses me hard on the lips, a long, slow, moment of peace, interrupted by short breaks for breath.
"Calm down there." He chuckles, our noses touching.
I roll off of him and curl up in my usual spot in the crook of his arm. "Goodnight, Michael. I love you."
