Chapter 15: 13th Floor

(3rd) POV:

Somewhere on the 13th floor, Marluxia awaits for Harmony and her friends to appear. However, when Axel appears behind him, Marluxia's expression shows anger.

"You have some nerve to show your treasonous face around here...some nerve indeed--" Marluxia says.

"Treasonous? I don't know what you could possibly be talking about," Axel says, faking ignorance.

Marluxia then turns around to face the red-head. "Why let Namine go? If it weren't for your needless meddling--We could have turned the Keyblade Master, one of the princesses of heart, to come and serve us."

"Ohh, right, your big plan. You use Namine to rewrite Harmony's memory piece by little piece. And she turns into her total puppet," Axel says. "Then, using Namine and Harmony together, you and Larxene overthrow the Organization. And the fact that Harmony is good friends with both of the Guardians of Lorelei would've just been a bonus for you in your plans. Am I right? I would say that YOU are the traitor, Marluxia."

"Since when were you suspicious of us?" Marluxia questions, his fists clenching with furry.

"Do either one of us have the heart to believe anyone?" Axel asks, while also reminding Marluxia what it is THEY really are.

Marluxia smirks. "So you only eliminated Vexen to obtain proof of our plan?"

"That, I didn't want to do, but it was your order. But then again, I never wanted to put Harmony through any of this, either!" Axel exclaims, bringing out his chakrams.

"Was it really for Harmony? Or the GIRLS you were in charge of taking care of?" Marluxia asks, striking a nerve with Axel.

Axel ignores Marluxia's words. "Remember the order: 'You must eliminate the traitor. I always follow orders, Marluxia," he says. "Larxene paid the price for disloyalty when she disappeared...You must do the same!"

Axel makes the move to attack, but Marluxia evades it. Then he uses his scythe as a shield to protect himself from Axel's chakrams when they were thrown at him. He then sends the chakrams back at Axel, who catches them with ease.

"The Organization's betrayed. In that name, I will annihilate you," Axel declares.

"That line's not you," says Marluxia.

Axel shrugs. "Well, had to try it once, you know."

The two continue to fight, neither one of them giving in to the other. Seeing that they might be tied, Marluxia takes matters into his own hands. Marluxia raises one of his hands, summoning Namine, who is frightened.

"Is that your shield? Won't do you any good, I'm afraid," Axel says.

"I wonder," Marluxia says with an evil smile. "Are you listening, Harmony?"

Axel sends a quick glare at Marluxia's direction.

(Harmony) POV:

After walking through the halls of the castle, we finally made it to Axel. It doesn't take me long to realize that the other guy must be Marluxia. But what takes me by surprise is that Namine's here.

I thought we left her on the 12th floor! Did Marluxia bring her here when we weren't looking?

"Axel says he's willing to harm Namine to get to me," Marluxia says, his voice taking me by surprise. After a moment or two, I instantly recognize his voice. He's the guy who lured me to this castle in the first place! "You won't let that happen, will you?"
