By the time New Year's Ever rolled around, Rose was so sure that her mother and father would have wanted her to stay home like every other New Year's and keep away from the chaos that occurred... but apparently that was not the case.

"Rosabella, why don't you spend New Year's Ever with the Hamadas?"

"...Mom? Are you... really suggesting that?"

"Well your father and I will be out, and it'll be a shame to know that you're here all alone."

"But that's just like every other year."

"That's true... but don't you want to spend New Year's with the Hamadas?"

Rose pursed her lips and looked away from her mother. Well sure she wanted to... but those whole idea of it seemed a bit peculiar. Before answering her mother, she turned to her father with a questionable look.

"Then what do you think, dad?"

        "Huh? Think about what?"

"Think about spending the New Year's with the Hamadas."

        "The Hamadas...?"

        "..."

Rose frowned and shot a mystified look to her mother.

"Yes, you know...? The pair of brothers I've been hanging out with after school for almost three weeks now?"

        "BROTHERS?!"

Rose looked at her mother again, not expecting her father to react so astonished. This time, her mother stepped in.

"No no, honey. Rosabella said sisters. How could we let out precious baby spend New Year's with two boys?"

"..." Rose continued to remain silent, the whole scenario now making her more confused than ever.

"Ah... yes. Now I remember you mentioning the Hamadas. They sound like a kind pair of sisters. Of course I'll let you spend New Year's with them!"

"See, Rosabella? Even your father agrees you should go out."

"Uh...huh." Rose nodded slowly, her face still contorted into a rather befuddled expression. She pulled her mom to the side and dropped her voice to a quiet whisper.

"Mom, what was all that about? You know the Hamadas are male!"

"Rosabella... obviously your father wouldn't allow you to spend time with a couple of boys. Not even on a daily basis like you've been doing ever since we arrived San Fransokyo."

        "Then... why?"

"I told your father that the Hamadas were female so he wouldn't go crazy and decide to lock you in from your only friends."

        "..."

"Besides, the Hamadas are a pair of nice, young gentlemen. I'm sure you will have a lot of fun if you hung out with them for New Year's rather than stay home alone."

Her mother offered a gentle smile bringing a hand up to tuck some of Rose's hair behind her ear.

"Look at you, Rosabella. You're so beautiful. Don't you think it's about time you spent your youthful days doing something fun and productive?"
