They didn't win, in fact, they lost nearly immediately after finding the enemy squad.
Ever since, the two have been avoiding each other.
Loba has been taking different routes through the lobby as to try and evade Revenant as much as possible, although she knew he had been asking around for her.She couldn't exactly explain it, but in that match, she felt something strange inside her. Playing alongside her enemy gave her a new perspective. What if he wasn't aware of his actions? But she quickly shook away that thought. Nothing could amount to what he had done to her. She would not let her father die in vain.
That evening she was sitting on the rooftop, admiring the night sky and stars that she would watch back home. Before all the chaos and the pain.
...then she heard a weird buzzing sound come from behind her and spotted Crypto's drone. What was he using it for?
It quickly dawned on her, as she heard those all too familiar footsteps.Truthfully he has been a pain in the ass lately. He has been continuously bugging the other legends on whether or not they've seen Loba. He had been knocking at her door and trying to find her as best as he could, pissing off many others that wanted some damn peace when Crypto finally caved in and agreed to track her down if Revenant would stop asking him about her.
At that, when she turned around and saw him, she threw her bracelet and just like that disappeared. They started a game of chase. Jumping and teleporting through the buildings, chasing each other down.
"Get away from me creep!"
Loba would slide and try to lose him at every turn but it was nothing but a futile attempt, after all he was built to track down his targets.
Nothing she did would slow him down, at every attempt to lose him he would just outsmart her and get closer, nearly catching up to her.
"Stop running and just listen!"
Finally, as they reached the end of a cliff, Revenant caught up with her but by landing wrong on his foot he slipped and fell off, tumbling down the cliff tagging Loba along. It was a long way down but finally, in a heap of dust and grass and sweat, Loba was now trapped under Revenant's arms."For fuck's sake I finally got you."
He could sense motion from below him and managed to trap her hands before she launched her bracelet again.
"Stop trying to get away, you're not escaping me this time."
"What do you want, demon."
"A few minutes of your time, I swear."
A long sigh and she finally complied.
"Fine. But make it quick."
"Thank you."
He finally let go of her and stood up, offering his hand which she quickly brushed off."Listen, ever since our last match-..."
"How pathetic! Don't tell me you've caught feelings for me,"
"No! I'm trying to tell you that for some reason, you're making me return human."
Silence. Loba was so taken back from his words that she couldn't even imagine such a thing happening. In fact, it was unrealistic.
"Ha, very funny. If thats all you had to say then I suggest you go back now."
"No I'm serious... look,"
At that, he took off his glove and revealed what looked like human flesh regrowing over his metal parts.
"I know you know more about me than I probably do, so... why is this happening?"
"I-... I don't know..."
Her face looked so confused, scared, something like that was impossible. How could a metal machine grow flesh?Without fully realizing it, she touched his hand again, and now, the flesh was growing even more and covering his whole hand. She immediately pulled back and stared at her own hands for a bit.
"What's the meaning of this?"
"I don't know, but I need you to touch me more."
"...What?"
"I've never felt so human, make me go back, please,"
"...I-"
But before she could even reply, suddenly a countdown appeared next to her, and she slowly vanished from the lobby to be matched in another game. This time she was not teamed up with Revenant.
