Crypto was smashing away at his keyboard faster than anyone Revenant had ever seen, every time he needed something, Crypto had always shown up with the solution he needed. He definitely was a resourceful guy, perhaps he should have spent more time befriending him and getting to know him better. Yet, it was as if the two sort of understood each other without words. He was a real one.
Revenant slowly stood up from his spot, walking towards the broken glass window he previously broke through to observe the situation going below.

The other legends, having seen the announcement, have stopped fighting and were now all grouped up and discussing what was going on. They clearly were partially confused, no game has ever been cancelled before, and not only that... what was Revenant doing there? It all was very fishy, especially the fact that the game was malfunctioning. They could clearly see items in the game glitch out, some parts of the backgrounds missing. It was as if the game was shutting down on its own.
Not only that, but the people that were watching the game were now leaving one by one; it seemed as if the workers were escorting them to prevent them from getting hurt. Revenant's actions might've as well changed history.

"...Got it!" Crypto called out.
Everyone quickly turned to him and started gathering around his computer, curious to see what he managed to do.
"I've copied all the files you need on this hard drive, you can easily access them and modify them to your needs. I've also made it actually impossible for Hammond to access your programming. They can't mess with you anymore."
Wattson watched surprised, curious on how he managed to do all that in such a short time. She was going to start discussing with him on whether or not it could've been that easy but Crypto quickly shut her off for a moment as he stood up to hand Revenant the drive.

When he got the drive in his hands, Revenant felt a mixture of emotions. That was it, he could've changed anything he wanted. This time, no one could ever get their hands on him again. He felt the need to thank him.
He slowly took his hands in his and shook it, staring at him right in the eyes.
"Thank you,"
Crypto didn't reply, they shared few seconds of silence before moving on with their plan.
It was as if they telepathically communicated their respect for each other.

The plan... was to escape.
Each and every legend had joined the games for their own reasons, most of them being connected to something the Hammond or Respawn did.
Either way, there was no longer any point for Revenant for staying there.
He had his drive, he could now move on and live his own life without the need to kill, he was no longer a hitman on the run and he could easily alter his appearance to be as human as possible. It was better to leave all at once and later on plot revenge if he needed to.
But would they let him leave that easily? After all, they already left him off the hook for a few years, but they never truly lost him from their monitor.
On the other side... it was about time he moved on with his life once and for all. He never wished to be made that way and now he could change that, he was now responsible for his own programming.

Loba however was not pleased with his idea. She did join the games for the sole purpose of killing the same machine that had killed her family, but things were a little different now. She didn't exactly have any point in staying there, but she also had nowhere to go to.
Her life would never return to normal after joining the games, gaining so much fame to her name surely would have put her and the people around her in danger. She had to do something... but what exactly?

As they were all discussing the details on what to do, sharing their opinions and ideas, a countdown suddenly appeared over their heads, counting back from "3...2...1.." and shortly after they were all teleported back to the lobby.
All of the legends were confused, something was definitely going wrong with the games.

The four of them decided to meet up in Crypto's room and discuss further why they were teleported back since they were occupying the control room.
The main hypothesis was that someone of the apex games was still able to access the main functions of the game from another place.
And if that was the case... then, perhaps, they'd have to handle that first.
They wanted to stop the games once and for all.
That was the only solution.
