Yet another awkward encounter with Mirage; thankfully he still hasn't followed Revenant to his room as he would first try and lose him before doing so, yet, he knew that the guy got clones, and he could very well put one up and pretend not to see him.
Either way, all of this was just a possible hint to the fact that sooner or later he'd have to show the others that he became a human... but most importantly, was he even allowed to stay in the apex games this way?Lost in his afternoon thoughts, he suddenly heard a knock at the door.
"Who dares disturb me at this hour?" He said, trying to mimic as best as possible his previous voice.
On the other side of the door he could hear a very annoyed sigh.
"Who else but me?"
Loba.He practically staggered to stand up from his spot and open the door for her, but the moment he did, Mirage entered his room.
Revenant looked at Loba wide eyed, who she simply shrugged as if it were nothing.
"He's been pestering me all day. Just tell him already."
But he wasn't ready to."Woah! You really have nothing in here do you?"
Ouch.
"Like- there's so much space! What do you even do in here? Why is there only a chair? Do you never have guests over?"
Revenant had now put a hand over Mirage's mouth, begging him to shut up already, but of course he licked him and got away."So? What's up with the fleshy killing machine macho boy?"
Loba instead of taking a seat sat on the only table at the corner of the room, leaning her back against the wall.
"As you can see, this is Revenant. And he's been... human-ized."
Mirage at this point was poking around at him, almost to see for himself whether he was truly human or not.
"Huh.. and how does that work? Like- can you still do that cool knife hand thing?"
Revenant tried. And failed.
"Woah, you're basic now! Well, welcome to the club!!"
The apex games would definitely throw him out now that he had practically lost all his functionalities, all due to being a simulacrum.
Loba noticed his sudden change of mood and quietly stood up, approaching his side as she put a hand over his shoulder.
Then Mirage broke the mood again."Most importantly... why were you in her room last time?"
The two shared a look, which Mirage quickly picked up faster than they'd expected.
"OHohoh- I See! So it's like that!"
Of course, he had heard their conversation the previous day. Now Mirage was also leaning on Revenant.
"So when's this date happening hmmm?"
"...I don't have to tell y-"
"Today"
The two guys stared at Loba, both taken by surprise.
"Loba what do you-"
And as she pulled on his arm, she teleported herself outside the building, tagging Revenant along."H-Huh..??"
"Don't Huh me, c'mon don't you have some dignity? Don't let a lady do everything by herself."
She was already walking away, going who knows where.
Revenant still stood there dumbfounded, but eventually followed, clearing out his throat as he had now better things to focus on.
