TW: Abuse, Remus, Blood
Roman's POV
I clenched the handle of my coffee mug as I walked down the hallway back to my room. Reaching my room, I resisted the urge to slam my door and simply closed it behind me with a death grip on the doorknob.
Ugh, why do I have to put up with Anxiety? We should just put him in the subconscious with Insanity and Immorality. He doesn't even have an important purpose in the mindscape! All he's ever done is hold Thomas back, and I'm sick of it! I don't see how Logan puts up with him. Patton is nice to everyone by default, but I would expect better from Thomas' Logic. Surely he can see how detrimental that dark side truly is!
He'll never be one of us.
Virgil's POV
I had just finished washing the dishes and reluctantly began to make my way back over to the Dark side.
I reached the Dark sides' living room and sat quietly watching television, trying to get my mind off of what had just happened in the kitchen. I had my knees pulled up to my chest, curled up on the end of one of the sofas when I heard a door creak open down the hall. As footsteps approached I turned nervously to see who it was, and let out a sigh of relief when I saw it was just Remy. Sleep is neither a dark nor a light side, so he tends to hang out wherever he wants in the mindscape, same with Dr. Picani.
"Hey babes," he said after noticing me. I nodded my head in response, not in the mood to talk. He took a sip of his ever-present Starbucks and walked off down another hall, likely going out to the imagination to visit Emile. I sat silently once more, watching some random channel on the TV when suddenly I felt all the hairs stand up on the back of my neck as I heard a familiar voice whisper into my ear.
"Whatcha watching?~"
I jumped forward, twisting around as I fell off the couch, hitting my back on the coffee table. I looked up to see Remus looking down at me from behind the couch, a large smile plastered onto his face. "Aww, poor emo~ Did that hurt?" I could feel my heart beating so hard I was sure Remus could hear it.
"N-n-no.." I replied nervously.
"Aw darn. Well then, maybe this will."
Remus stepped around the couch and approached me while I tried to back away as quickly as possible. He reached out and grabbed my leg, and proceeded to drag me down the hallway, ignoring my kicks and screams.
We reached his room and he opened the door, tossing me inside and locking the door behind him. I let out a grunt of pain as I hit the ground, and immediately scrambled away from him. He laughed harshly at my attempt to escape him as he summoned his morning star.
"No, no, I'm sorry!" I begged.
"If you're so sorry, then you should expect punishment." He raised the weapon up to the side and I curled up protectively as I felt it directly hit the side of my upper arm. I let out a pained scream as he pulled it back from my arm. He let out a psychotic laugh as tears of pain streamed down my face. I could feel the blood from my arm flowing out and seeping through my black hoodie.
"Ooh, that was fun! I wonder what this will do to you.." With a flick of his wrist his morning star disappeared and was replaced with a metal bat. My eyes widened with terror.
"No, please no..!"
"It's to late to beg when I'm having this much fun~"
For the next thirty minutes he relentlessly swung the bat at me, laughing the whole time as if he was being told a funny joke. By the time he was done the bat had blood on it and was dented from breaking my ankle. I felt as if I could pass out at any second. At one point I heard Remus sigh from where he stood.
"Okay now I'm bored. You can get out now." And with that he dragged me out and dropped me painfully on the floor outside his room, closing his door behind him. I knew I had to get up and treat my injuries, but as soon as I tried to move I felt a sharp pain from multiple places on my body. I tried sinking out to go to my room, but I was much too weak to be able to do it. I sobbed helplessly and lay motionless on the floor until I felt myself falling unconscious. And before I knew it, I passed out.
