The last message he sent yesterday didn't let me slept well, mga ilang oras din akong binabagabag dahil do'n. Hindi ko na ito nireplyan kagabi dahil nakakahiya, nabuking pa ako.

I feel like a zombie today, which strolling around in a stupor, literally exhausted and drained due to lack of sleep. Hindi talaga ako nakatulog ng maayos kagabi, kaya hindi ako masyadong makafocus nito sa trabaho ngayon.

"Para kang patay",

Napaangat ako ng tingin sa kanya. Kakapasok lang nito sa staff room habang dala-dala ang kanyang bag. Actually, we have the same shift in work. Bago din kasi siya dito katulad ko, pero mas nauna itong nakapasok kaysa sa akin. Since we're both new here, pinagsama kaming dalawa dito sa trabaho.

Minsan sabay kaming pumapasok. But most of the time, she enters the shop in the early hours. More like she's an early bird though. But today, seems like the tables turns out, na late yata ito.

"Anong bang ginawa mo kagabi? Para kasing kulang na kulang ka sa tulog", sabi nito sa akin.

"Wala, hindi lang talaga ako nakatulog ng maayos", katwiran ko sa kanya.

Napakunot noo ito. "Insomnia naka dae",

"Gago", napangiwi kong sabi sa kanya.

Tumawa ito at naglakad patungo sa kanyang locker. Napailing nalang ako sa kanya at nagbihis na rin. I changed my clothes in our usual staff uniform. Mga ilang minuto din ako nag-ayos ng aking sarili. I dressed up well, kahit nagmumukhang dugyot ako ngayon. It's better to have a pleasant look than never. And besides, in a workplace, this is really essential to all staffs.

After I changed my clothes, I urgently went to the bar counter and position myself to the cashier lane area. I kept tabs to my assigned task. Since maaga pa naman, hindi pa masyadong madami ang tao ngayon.

Mostly, customers visit the coffee shop between 11am - 2pm. But in this time, only a few customers were hanging out in here just to do some stuffs, like business either personal. Madalas tambayan ito ng mga estudyanteng nag-aaral, commonly law students and MED students.

But basically, tambayan talaga ito ng mga mayayaman. Kung ako lang, I would rather choose to study at home than spending money in here. Mahirap na nga ang buhay, magpapa-social pa ako.

It doesn't mean that I can't afford it. Most of us know that we can, especially if you have a job. I just don't want the idea of spending money just for my own fancies. For me, life is too hard, we should learn how to live, never rubbish every single penny and set aside our own reveries for our wants.

Maraming mga taong hindi nakakain sa araw-araw, hindi nakaranas ng mga bagay na kadalasan nararanasan ng mga taong may kaya sa buhay. Yet most of us, didn't even valued the word hardship. They don't know how hard to work just to earn for your living. They just know the fact that working hard is the best way to attain success. Pero hindi nila alam na mahirap pala itong abutin.

Sweats and drudgery are the piece that involved in this matter. Thus, I envy those people who can easily get what they want nor pay what their needs. Hindi katulad ko na kailangan pang kumayod sa buhay para lang makapag-aral at makapagtapos.

"Expresso Macchiato, Double. And a Café Au Lait, Regular",

"Would you like anything else sir?", I asked to the customer.

"We have sets of breakfast meals sir, a great pair to your espresso and coffee",

Napatingin ito sa akin. "Okay, what's your best breakfast meal in here?",

I smiled. "Gourmet Sandwiches and Pasta sir", saad ko sa kanya.

Napaangat ang tingin nito sa menu at sinuyod ang lahat ng nakalista do'n.
