Arthur and Chase are talking about Rose in the boys's mansion lounge in the morning. Chase tells Arthur what he saw her do. It's only the two of them. Sidney stays in Rose's room, trying to calm her and Eric has shut off, in his own room.
'It was awful. I wasn't sure what to do... It reminded me too much of-'
'Of yourself?' Arthur interjects, knowing exactly what Chase is thinking. Chase nods, looking ashamed. 'Well, doesn't it make sense that the guy I saw turn Rose that night may be Oliver after all. Remember he turned her the same way she did you. That's where she must get those powers from. Because you-'
'No, don't. This has nothing to do with me.' Chase snaps quickly. He heard Arthur's thoughts before Arthur even knew what he was about to say. Arthur always hated when Chase read him like that and had asked him not to do that with the boys anymore.
'No, not exactly.' Arthur shakes his head, 'But you felt a connection surely, didn't you?' Chase looks down at his lap, sad. He closes his eyes for just a millisecond, remembering.
'It was like I was meeting both of them all over again,' Chase admits, painfully.
'Who?' Arthur tries not to ask.
'Evelyn. And Judith.' Chase swallows harshly and Arthur is surprised he even said the name Judith. It hurts Chase so much for him to remember them - particularly Judith.
'Evelyn, who...' Arthur begins. He doesn't want to make Chase more uncomfortable or revert back into his shell again.
Chase simply whispers, '... who killed Judith.'
