Rose had never been anywhere near Oliver's house and vice versa. Oliver's house couldn't even be classed as a house, but more of a mansion. Looking around the building, with all of its extravagance and luxury, the ground floor holds to lounge, where sits on a large couch, a nervous and worried Oliver, looking up at something - or someone. A shadow in the distance.
There is a silhouette of a woman's body. Even in shadow, her figure shows her to be very, very attractive. Oliver sits down on his sofa as he confesses to the woman. He is wearing smart trousers with sensible shoes and a casual top.
'I-I lost control today... We were just having fun and fooling around... She-uh, I started to kiss her neck and all I could hear pounding in my ears was the sound of her heartbeat. All I could think about was the pumping of the blood all over her body.' Oliver pauses for a moment. He has a scared expression plastered all over his face. The woman must not be pleased by the news.
'B-but I fought it. I controlled it... And she didn't seem to notice.' Oliver fakes a smile amidst his nerves.
'She didn't "seem" to notice?' We hear her voice calmly ask Oliver. Her voice is rich and it almost seemed like she whispered to him. It was almost sensual, which added to Oliver's stress.
'Well, she didn't talk to me about it. She didn't acknowledge that it happened, so I'm, guessing that she didn't see it.' Oliver stutters.
The woman's anger starts to come across on her voice now, the more Oliver tells her. 'That does not matter to me, whether she saw it or not! What matters to me is that she never finds out about you, me, or anyone of us... At least, not while she isn't needed.'
She finally appears out from the shadows. She is the most beautiful woman. Her figure is small but strong, with sharp piercing features on her face. Her green eyes could kill with one look. She stands a few feet away from Oliver, resting seductively against one of the other pieces of furniture in the room. Oliver sighs.
'What do you want with her Evelyn, or from her? She's just an average girl with family problems. She probably doesn't have what you're looking for... Maybe, you've got it wrong this time?' Oliver snaps. He instantly looks as though he regrets it. And we see why.
Evelyn Black's anger builds up. '"Got it wrong"? My dear, I have told you about calling me Evelyn. Do not question my power. EVER!' She regains her relaxation and calm tone. 'Do I make myself clear?' She smiles sweetly.
'Yes, I understand. But maybe she is normal? What if she is? What'll you do then? You've made me make emotional connections with her all so that you can find out...' He stops himself, which took a lot of his energy. He was mad now. 'She doesn't have what you're looking for!' He becomes defensive and doesn't care about the consequences of talking to her this way, 'And I swear, if you're wrong and you come for her...,' His tone softens when he thinks about Rose, he sees her smile, remembers the warmth of her body, her scent. 'I've grown to care for her deeply. Maybe even love... But then again, I wouldn't know what that's like - love. Why? I've never been able to feel it before.' He glares at her once more.
'Oliver, are you challenging your only family?' Evelyn raises an eyebrow slightly. Oliver is about to answer her with a 'no', but she stops him from speaking. 'Because you know what would happen if you even dared to... I hope that isn't the case, is it?'
Oliver looks like he's about to fight for his argument, but he knows the consequences and remains silent. Evelyn smirks. 'Exactly as I thought.'
She moves over and cups Oliver's face in her hands and pulls him into her, standing above him. He rests his head against her chest. Her long, skinny fingers brush through his hair soothingly. Oliver is still thinking of other arguments he could've said. But his thoughts are paused when Evelyn lifts his head off her chest and holds his head in her hands, forcing him to look up to her. 'Actually, I think tonight's the perfect night for what we've discussed.' She whispers. Oliver looks distraught and tries to push away from her, but she is stronger.
'What?! No. No, I need more time. You need to be sure that it's her befo-' He tries to reject and fight back, but Evelyn interrupts.
'Oliver, look at me please.' He does so. They make eye contact and Oliver goes into a sort of hypnotised mode. He looks at her now in a completely different way. He is drawn in, he looks as though he wants to pull her into him. He was seduced and under her control. 'Oliver, at the party tonight, you are going to make the girl drink your blood... And, afterwards, you're going to kill her. Oh, and if you do anything of the sort to stop this from happening, I'll make sure that tonight will be the night you take your last breath.' She sings to him.
When she is finished, she takes her hand from Oliver's face and he instantly snaps out of the state. He still looks terribly upset. He leans back on the sofa, letting out a sigh. Evelyn straddles him. He can't bring himself to look at her, but he doesn't dismiss her either.
'I know how hard this must be for you, my love. I understand that much. But being who we are, living how we live and doing as we do... It is in our duty to fulfil these needs. It's definitely your duty to do it for me.'
Oliver nods and Evelyn stands. She slowly spins on her heel and turns to walk away. She stops by the doorway and smirks. She narrows her eyes evilly.
'Isn't there a party you've to be going to?'
