"Just wonderful. Everyone should wake up to this."

"We're just eating!"

"Yeah, each other's faces. What're you even doing here, Preston? Didn't you have a date?"

"Yep!"

"And...?"

I looked at the girl Preston had been sucking the saliva out of.

Oh.

"Your date's at home?"

"Not really. But mom had been making waffles when Charlie got here, and we settled down to eat some."

"But you magically ended up eating each other's lips...?" Before Preston could reply, however, I walked off towards Charlie, his girfriend who I would be meeting for the very first time in my whole life.

"Hi," I said, giving her my hand. "I'm Aubrey, Annoying Preston's awesome little sister. I'm figuring you're Charlie."

Charlie smiled, "You're figuring right. Hey, Aubrey. I've heard about you."

"I'm sure you have. I would just really appreciate it if I didn't have to see you make out with Preston on the dining table as soon as I wake up. It taints my innocence."

At this, Preston snorted, "Innocence, my ass."

"See?" I addressed Charlie. "Annoying."

Charlie chuckled, "Tell me about it. If he wasn't hot, I'd never have agreed to date him."

Preston sighed, "Nice to know you love me so."

"Aw, don't worry. I'll stick with you till I find my soulmate, cool?" I liked Charlie. Not only was she pretty, but she also enjoyed annoying the hell out of my brother. I really liked her.

Preston leaned in and kissed her, "You ain't gonna find another soulmate when I'm around, cupcake."

I covered my eyes, "Please control your hormones, Preston. Where is mom, anyway?"

"Shower."

"Oh. Pass the syrup."

"Get it yourself."

"Why did I get you for a brother?"

"You love me."

"Unfortunately so," then I turned to Charlie. "Have you met Cameron yet?"

She smiled, "Yes, actually. A couple of times."

I smiled back, nodding.

Charlie was a little taller than me, about an inch or so. She had golden blonde hair slightly past her shoulders, with a few electric blue streaks in it here and there. She was pretty attractive with her brown eyes and friendly smile. You couldn't help but like her. I made small talk with her as I dug into my own waffles. I was glad Preston found her. That boy needed a life, anyway.

"Aubrey!" Mom yelled from somewhere upstairs. Guess she was out of the shower.

"Yes?!"

"Are you up yet?"

"No! Still fast asleep!"

"Good! Done with breakfast?!"

"In the middle of it!"

"Okay! Have Preston and Charlie left yet?!"

"No!"

"Did you meet Charlie?!"

"Of course not, mom! Why would I meet her when she's in the same room?!"

"Isn't she just a cute little girl?!"
