It has been three days since the announcement of Jimin's departure to America for a special offer. Then a weird idea came across my mind during these times.
'I could take this opportunity to win Euhna's heart, since Jimin is away. Besides, they didn't like each other anyway'
But why did I think of it that way? The other half of myself said that it was a type of betrayal to my soulmate. But I didn't think that it would be wrong to pursue the girl I set my eyes on.
I saw Euhna inside a mall, her head was down and our shoulders brushed against each other but then she only said,
"I'm sorry" she didn't even look at me let alone recognize me
I grabbed her by her elbow and stopped her from taking another step. She finally lifted her head and looked at me, her eyes looked swollen.
"Kim Taehyung?" She asked, raising a brow
I let go of her and dug my hands to the pockets of my hoodie. I flashed a bright boxy smile to her, I expected her to smile back but she didn't. Yes, she smiled but it looked forced, it wasn't meant.
"I know you miss him" I said seriously and she blinked
"Why would I? Is there a reason to?" She stated coldy without looking directly to my eyes, again
"I don't know, maybe because you like him right? You are his girlfriend"
Half meant.
I didn't mean the whole thing since I knew from the first place that she didn't like him. Manager Lin told me everything about what was happening between the both of them. It was just a show for the media to enjoy.
"I didn't like him" this time she avoided it when I tried to look at her, she moved away
"That gives me some courage then" she finally looked straight to my eyes again
"What?"
"I like you, Euhna, so I want to date you. I've been wanting to tell you this for a long time but Jimin has always been there, maybe reconsider me?"
'Did I really mean what I said?'
"I'm sorry but I can't, I'm not in the mood for a relationship right now" and just like that she walked away slowly, leaving me behind
Our distance was getting bigger and bigger, the gap stays there acting like a barrier. A barrier which I can't enter because only he can.
"I know you still like him" I think what I said is true, that she still does honestly and not because of the contract binding them
"No. Because...
I've moved on..."
My eyes widened as she looked back at me. She flashed a smile, unusually she did. But I can see through her clearly, like a transparent but foggy glass. I could tell she was forcing herself to look happy, but her sadness and sorrow was overflowing.
'Moved on, you say?'
I laughed softly at the thought, I faced my back to her and started walking away.
'You always win Jimin, even if there's no fight I feel like I could never win. Euhna's not meant for me, because there's only one person who can help her heal those scars and...
It's you...'
