p h i l o p h o b i a (n) - fear of love
have you ever seen a bud bloom?
so pretty, so mellow.
we hold it in our hands
wanting to keep it safe
from the elements of the world.
we hold it to our heart,
give a piece of our self,
we give it care,
we give it hope,
yet we forget the essential.
we picked it from its roots,
we forgot it needed the elements to grow
and one day it will wither in our own hands
and nothing can save it.
had we left it with the roots,
and gave it what it needs
imagine the beauty it would hold.
and hence i believe
love can create something so beautiful
and so can it also destroy.
