cat fight - nct, markhyuck

the rest of the vacation went pretty well. at least, it did for jaemin and jeno.

it was a bit different for mark and donghyuck.

the cat-person had been distant from mark since the human had spoken about his so-called perfect afternoon with hina.

donghyuck didn't want to admit it to himself, but he was jealous that mark was this attracted to someone that was not him. like, why couldn't mark talk about him like he talked about hina?

they were supposed to leave the next morning, so the teachers had given them a free day to do shopping and enjoy their last day in the village.

contrarily to the others students, mark had decided to stay inside his room. first because hina had told her she would be going shopping with her friends, second because he didn't want to third wheel with jeno and jaemin, and third because donghyuck had been a bit distant from him these days, and he wanted to understand what was happening.

"donghyuck?" mark called the boy he couldn't find in the room.

after a few seconds, a white cat poked his head from out of the covers meowing.

"oh, you're in your cat form." mark said, sitting on the bed next to the cat. "i wanted to have a talk." he added, caressing the cat's head. the cat looked at the human with his big brown eyes and tilted his head.

"i need donghyuck for that." mark told, pulling the cat out of the blanket to lay it on his lap. "because you can't talk."

the cat meowed, snuggling into mark's body.

"come with me, i'll grab some milk." mark said, picking the cat up and walking to the cupboard where he had settled the bottles of milk and cat food for haechan.

"oh... we have a problem there..." mark stated, his eyes glued on the empty cupboard. "i'm sure i have a bottle somewhere, wait a minute." he added, putting the cat back on the bed and rummaging through the room.

"i swear i have one..." mark said, looking under the bed before cursing when he found none.

"where can i find one haechan?" mark asked, pulling on his hair.

the cat meowed at his human even though mark couldn't understand him.

"oh, i know!" mark exclaimed suddenly. "jeno and jaemin's room!"

the cat tilted his head in confusion.

"jeno likes milk as well!" mark slapped his forehead. "jaemin always complains about it because he hates milk! let's go to their room. they gave me the spare key of their room." mark added before picking the cat and dashing to jeno and jaemin's room.
