renjun smiled shyly when jeno tucked a strand of his hair behind his ear.

his best friend mark had settled him on a 'friendly rendezvous' – he had mentioned it was a date – with two of his own friends, na jaemin and lee jeno, the power couple of the school, and let's say renjun had had a crush on them for long. he has been gawking over the two beauties even before they started dating to tell you.

"mark often tells us about you. it's crazy we never see each other around school." jaemin remarked exchanging a look with jeno who nodded.

"oh, i'm part of the student's council, you know, so i'm often busy, that's surely why." renjun sheepishly smiled.

"oh, really?" jeno widened his eyes. "mark didn't tell us."

"yeah, he doesn't really think it's something important." renjun rolled his eyes.

"who is he kidding, this is way too much responsabilities!" jaemin explained with hands motions. "don't worry, next time we'll see him, i promise i'll beat his ass." jaemin smiled at the chinese.

"oh, you don't need to." renjun blushed. "i don't really care. he's grumpy."

"true." jeno nodded. "mr grumpy. have you noticed he's always the one ruining the plans we make?"

"definitely." renjun agreed laughing.

the three boys continued talking about their mutual friend, laughing about the common points they found in him, before letting their conversation drift to brighter subjects like their hobbies, their favourites songs and drinks.

"i'm sorry guys, but it's late, i should probably head home." renjun said, checking the time on his phone. 7:39p.m.

"don't worry junnie, we'll go back home too. do you need us to drop you off at your place?" jeno asked with a bright smile showing his car keys.

"that's very kind of you but mark is coming to pick me up." renjun declined politely.

"okay, i hope we'll see you at school then." jaemin smiled.

"yeah." renjun smiled back. "thank you for today, i had a really good time."

"we did too." jeno said with a wink before waving at renjun and then leaving with jaemin towards his car.

"oh my god." renjun mumbled, his cheeks heating. he quickly took his phone out of his pocket and dialled mark's number. "mark?"

"so? how has your date been?" mark's voice asked.

renjun sighed. "it was not a date."

"yeah, sure. anyway. how was it?"

"so good..." renjun said dreamily. "i like them even more now."

"well, next step is asking them out."

renjun scoffed. "never."

"if you say so..." mark replied uninterested.

"anyway, are you going to move your ass and pick me up?"

"huh?"

"pick me up, mark?"
