Feet in the sand

Chapter one .

Dakotas POV

" Dakota Rae " My best friend Pacey said , attempting to get my attention .
" what are you doing " I looked up at her smiling .

" looking at hayes's twitter . " She rolled her eyes laughing . " of coarse you are . Why don't you two just get married already . " I grinned shaking my head .
Blushing at the thought of even dating him . " I could say the same for you and Daniel " winking at her , making her giggle . After a while of sitting on our phones , my mom called us downstairs . Hopefully it's a talk about vacation . I always wanted to leave for the entire summer and just not even care what happens . We quickly ran downstairs excited for what were about to hear . My mom pointed to the dining room table , signaling us to sit down . My grandma and paceys mom were here too .

" so girls " my mom started off . " we decided to think over what you guys suggested , and we actually don't think it's such a bad idea . " I looked at Pacey excited , almost in tears . She had a big grin . But it slowly faded . " Wait , I'm not allowed to go , again . " she said dragging out the " again " sounding upset . She looked at her mom and then at her feet . " well honey , I actually think you'd have fun . Get away for a while . " she shot her head up once again . " mom ... Does that mean .." We all looked at each other before my mom screamed that we were going on vacation . " Oh my gosh mom I love you so much . " I screamed running Into my moms arms hugging her tightly . " we leave tomorrow morning so girls go pack and get to bed early . We don't want to miss another day !" Pacey left with her mom to go pack her bags and I went upstairs . I can't believe I'm actually going to the beach for the entire summer . I went Into the hall closet to get my suitcases . I packed 10 different bathing suits , outfits for 3 months , my Canon camera , my Polaroid camera , shoes , and personals . After about 2 hours of packing , pacey came back with her things , including a box brown box .
" we should get to bed " we said at the same time . I started laughing and tucked myself into bed .

" hey Dakota ? " pacey questioned . " what if Daniel and Hayes were there " I turned over to face her . " I thought the same thing earlier . But they probably have better beaches and better things to do " I said sadly before drifting off into a dreamless sleep .
