"Well, well, well. It's about time," Haymitch says as he walks in.
"Shut up, Haymitch," Katniss says in a barely audible whisper.
He walks up behind Katniss, puts his hand on her back, and says, "Maybe you do deserve the boy, sweetheart."
I laugh and say, "Am I missing something?"
Katniss shakes her head and says, "Later."

The next couple of days are wonderful, despite the fact that I have to stay in the hospital. Katniss stays with me the entire time, and Haymitch comes and goes.

One day, I worked up enough courage to ask Katniss a very important question.
"Katniss, can I ask you something?"
"Yes, of course," she said.
"This isn't an act anymore, is it? Your feelings for me are real?" I ask, actually scared to hear the answer.
"You are mine, real or not real?" She asks.
"Real," I say with a smile.
