Chapter 5 - Dinner With Devries And The Snow

After Leondre and Charlie had finished their little pillow fight we went downstairs to eat dinner. The boys were right , the pizza was amazing!

"Wow , that was amazing , thank you so much for having me here" I said gratefully.

"No problem , I have a favor to ask you , well really Matilda does , I'm not going to be able to look after her on Saturday because I have a Christmas party with work and she's been begging for you to have a sleepover with her so do you mind looking after her while I'm gone, I know what you're thinking , what about Joey? Well Joey is off out to a party with your brother and Matilda would rather have you babysit than Leo so in a way , you're babysitting Leo aswell" Victoria said. I smiled at this because Matilda was such a sweet girl. Charlie laughed at the thought of this , I was actually looking forward to hanging out with Matilda.

"I'm so looking forward to Saturday Sarah!" said Matilda excitedly "Do you want to come and see my room? That's where we're going to be on Saturday"

I followed Matilda up to her bedroom , it was an amazing room , every little girl's dream.

"Can you do my hair in plaits like girls from where you're from?" asked Matilda sweetly.

"Actually not all girls wear their hair like that , that's a stereotype but I can still do your hair for you , have you ever seen Frozen?" I asked stupidly because everybody had seen Frozen.

"Everybody has seen Frozen" see?

"How about I do your hair like Queen Elsa's?" I asked.

"Yes!" she exclaimed.

I knew that we were going to get along just fine.

I did Matilda's hair just like I said I would and she kind of rocked it! She looked amazing. She looked in the mirror and went all quiet.

"Thank you" she said "It's beautiful"

I then heared Leo shouting from downstairs.

"Sarah! Are you coming out in the snow?!" he shouted up the stairs.

"I'm going down to chill out in the snow" I said and then I laughed "No? Ok" Matilda didn't seem impressed with the pun "Are you coming Matilda?"

"You can call me Tilly you know , everybody else does" replied Matilda "But I will come outside if it means a free chance at hitting Leo with a snowball"

We both laughed and then walked downstairs. We put on our coats and then ran out into the street.

When we got outside there was no people to be seen , not even Leo and Charlie which was quite worrying. I looked everywhere and saw them in the distance , they were making a big pile of snowballs across the street.

"Tilly come over here and get some snowballs for you to throw" shouted Leondre.

That's when Matilda ran out in the road and I saw in the distance two bright headlights of a car. Except there was no way that Matilda had seen them so I only had one option left.

I ran out in the road and pushed Matilda out of the way just in time but it was too late for me.
