My Dad was supposed to be picking me up that day but for some reason there was a no show from him.

It was already 4:30 PM and my Dad hadn't shown up yet. I started to panic because I didn't know the exact way home yet because it was only my first day so I couldn't walk home or I would get lost and I really didn't want to chance it. I was still in the school parking lott or car park and it was dark and I was very worried , Id never wanted to see a familiar face in my whole life.

Luckily for me all of the after school clubs finish at 4:30 so I might have been able to catch somebody on their way out. I saw the cross country team walking back onto school grounds in their matching sports uniform but I couldn't spot anybody I knew. There must have been another club on.

I walked over to a wall , climbed onto it and sat down with hope that somebody would see me and help me get back home.

"Get off that wall young lady , our walls are to keep people out who aren't supposed to be here , they're not there for you to rest on because you have nowhere better to be!" shouted one of the most horrible teachers in the school.

"I'm just waiting for somebody , I'll get down in a minute when he arrives" I replied hoping that the teacher would go away , instead he walked closer to me looking more angry as he got closer.

"Young lady , what is your name? I'm going to report you to the headteacher" he said hoping that I would back down.

"What for? I've done nothing wrong sir" I said

He got angrier at me "For chatting back to a teacher! I have a family to get home to and you're wasting my time , every minute you keep me standing here is another time that you copy out I will follow teachers instructions the first time that I'm asked do you understand me? Get off that wall!"

I decided to get off the wall anyway because I saw Leondre walking my way. When I returned to the ground the teacher walked away.

"What was that all about? You should know that Mr Harris is protective of his walls" said Leondre cheekily. This remark made me laugh and Leondre laughed too , we would have looked so weird if somebody had walked by at that moment.

"Why are you still here?" asked Leondre.

"My Dad hasn't come yet and I can't walk home because I don't know where to go" I replied.

"Where do you live? I can take you there if you like?" Leondre offered.

I didn't know if I wanted Leondre to know where I live but I had no other choice.

"Sure , I live at ** ********** **** , I hope you're not going out of your way" I said feeling a bit guilty.

"No , I live a few houses down , do you have any money with you? It's only one stop on the train" Leondre questioned.

"I don't , I was expecting my Dad to pick me up" I said

Leondre had a train pass so we decided to walk home.

We had so much fun on the way home , we laughed and joked all the way home , it took us half an hour to walk home because we were joking around that much. When we arrived back at my house it was a bit awkward.

"Here we are , your house" said Leondre

"Thank you so much for bringing me back here , I'd be lost without you" I replied gratefully.

I started looking around for something to say and I felt like the most magical thing happened when our eyes met. Leondre's eyes were adorable , the kindest eyes I've ever seen.

"Well , I should be getting home , my parents will be expecting me back any minute now" said Leondre to break the silence

"Alright , thank you so much for walking me home" I said happily "I'll see you tomorrow"
