Chapter 6 - Hospital

I woke up on the Thursday night at 21:00 and the first thing I saw when I opened my eyes was Leo and Tilly. Tilly was sitting in the chair asleep still with her Elsa hair , I couldn't believe that she kept her hair like that for two days. On the right hand side of the bed Leo was sitting holding my right hand which currently had a drip in my arm. He was resting his right elbow on his knee and was holding his head in his palm. He looked like he was crying and it sounded like he was crying but he couldn't be crying over me.

"Leo" I said shakily. He looked up and I realised that he had been crying and still was but why was he crying over me?

"Sarah , are you ok? I've been so worried about you , you saved Tilly , I can't believe you did that" said Leondre his voice sounding even more shakey than mine "You've been asleep for two days , I thought you'd , you know"

He got more stressed out talking about it and that caused more tears.

"Leo , I'm fine , well as fine as I can be , you don't need to worry about me , worry about yourself , if you get any more stressed then you're going to end up with more grey hair than my grandpa." I joked.

He didn't laugh , he actually seemed a little dazed. I was about to get up to go and ask a nurse for a drink but when I tried to move I noticed that my leg was in a cast. I obviously didn't notice that my leg was broken because I was in a two day coma. Leo saw me struggling to get up and tried to stop me.

"Where are you trying to run off to?" he asked me. I told him that I wanted to go and get a drink but he told me that I couldn't get up because my leg had a clean break and I took a serious knock to the head. He did go and get me a bottle of water and after he handed it to me he sat back in the chair and held my hand again.

"Leo , can I ask a question? Well two questions?" I asked so really it was three.

"Ok , that means you've asked three questions but fire away"

Told you.

"Number one , where are my parents?" I asked

"They've gone home but they'll be back at about half ten , they've just gone to check on Sean and they're picking up some things from home for you" explained Leo "What's the next question?"

"The next question" I said while looking at my hand that Leo was holding "Is , and don't take this the wrong way , why are you holding my hand?" I didn't want to sound mean but I had to ask.

"Sorry" said Leondre letting go of my hand "I just needed to , it helped me get through the times that I've visited the past two days"

The inside of me melted at this.

"Maybe the fact that it was you holding my hand is what helped me through this" I said mystically. I grabbed the remote that operated the bed and I made myself sit up , I then moved over and patted the space signalling that Leo could sit there , he sat on the bed next to me and put his arm around me.

"Hospital selfie?" he asked cheekily.

"Not right now Leo , I look a mess , maybe tomorrow when I've cleaned myself up" I replied.

"You look beautiful right now" said Leo and I blushed.

"Are you flirting with me Mr Devries?" I asked in a silly voice.

"Hey , I'm just trying to make you feel better but that doesn't mean it's not true" Leo replied.

I'd never felt happier in my whole life.

"Thanks Leo , you're an amazing guy..." I said before Leo chimed in

"And you're an amazing girl , listen I know that we said that we've only known eachother for two days except now I've known you for four now and you don't like somebody after two days but I can't help it , Sarah James?" he said

"Yes?" I asked

"I think that I like you" Leo announced.

"You do? I asked "That's so sweet Leo , I um , I think I like you too"

"You think?" he asked

"You thought first" I said and it felt like I tounge twister , try and say that ten times fast.

"So , will you go out with me?" asked Leo hopefully

"That's probobly the best offer I've heared all day" I joked

"Is that a yes?" asked Leo still unsure

"Yes" I said and then I rested my head on his chest and fell asleep.

The next morning

I got woken up on the Friday morning by the sound of somebody aww-ing. When I opened my eyes I saw Charlie stood there with his phone taking pictures.

"Good morning Sarah , I'm now guessing that I should have put money on you guys" said Charlie as he made his way over to the chair.

"Good morning to you too" I said sarcastically , "What time is it?"

"It's actually 06:30 , I'm just here to take watch , your parents went to take Matilda home and also I have some news off the nurses , if you're a good girl tonight then you're allowed home tomorrow morning" said Charlie excitedly "That means that we can all babysit Leo together" Charlie started laughing.

"Oh no , I completely forgot that I have to do that , wait I wasn't supposed to be babysitting Leo , I'm babysitting Tilly" I said when I realised what Charlie had said.

"I'm , that implies that you're still going to" Charlie said uneasily.

"That's because I am , I promised Tilly and when I make a promise , I keep that promise , I'd do anything for that girl" I said strongly.

"You've shown that , are you ok by the way?" Charlie asked.

"I'm fine , I just want to go home" I said , it was true because I wanted to go home more than anything.

"You'll get to and don't worry , we're here for you every step of the way" Charlie said sweetly "Now can I sign your cast?"

"If you feel the need to" I replied and then I decided I'd read a book that my Mom had left on the table.
