Chapter 9 - Babysitting (We Got Plans)

I arrived home and saw that Sean and Joey were sitting in the living room playing video games. Joey jumped up when he saw me and gave me a giant hug.

"Look who's home and fighting!" he said when he finally released me.

"It's good to see you too , how are you?" I asked wanting to catch up on what I'd missed over the four days in hospital.

"I'm brilliant , could you go over to my house to see Tilly please? She's been missing you so much and doesn't even know that you're home so it'll be a huge suprise" said Joey sounding pretty excited himself.

I then walked to the Devries household and knocked on the door. It was Victoria who answered it and she looked happy to see me.

"Is Tilly home?" I whispered "I was told to come and suprise her and also are we still on for babysitting tonight?"

"Only if you think you can manage" said Victoria quietly before letting me in. "She's just through in the living room"

I went slowly into the living room trying to make sure that my crutches weirnt too loud. I went into the room and casually sat down next to her on the couch.

"Hey Tilly , how are you this fine mornin'?" I asked sounding jolly.

She looked up and let out a little squeel.

"I can't believe you're out of hospital!" Tilly said excitedly "Are you still coming tonight?"

I nodded my head and Tilly's whole face lit up. I was getting quite excited about looking after Tilly too.

"My Mom went out and bought us some things for tonight but right now I have something fun planned" I said. It was still only 11:00 so we had the whole day to do the activity that I had in mind. I already checked with Victoria and she kept it as a suprise from Tilly.

"What kind of things did your Mum get?" asked Tilly.

"She got us some nice girly movies and she got us some candy and drinks that she's going to bring us later" I said as Tilly got more and more excited. Tilly was amazing , if she wasn't Leo's sister I'd have to take her to be mine.

While me and Tilly were talking about the night somebody came up behind me and covered my eyes.

"Guess who" the person said obviously trying to disguise their voice.

"Umm" I hesitated , I obviously knew that it was Leo , I just wanted to make it more of a moment.

"Too late" Leo said cheekily and he jumped over the couch and landed next to me "Hi". I turned and raised my eyebrows at him and gave him a warning look because I knew his Mom wouldn't be happy with him jumping over the furniture.

"What?" he asked trying to sound innocent.

"Leondre Antonio Devries! How many times do I have to tell you not to jump over the furniture?" said Victoria while I gave him an I told you so look.

"Hi" I finally got to respond. I then turned back to Tilly and noticed that she was wearing the nicest clothes I'd ever seen.

"Tilly , did you dress yourself?" I asked trying not to sound like an insult was about to come out because it wasn't. She nodded. "You look amazing but today we're going somewhere that could ruin your clothes so how about you wear something that you don't mind getting stained" I explained "Don't worry though because what we're doing is so fun" I said this with a smile on my face to convince her further.

After 15 minutes everybody was ready wearing clothes that they didn't mind getting a little muddy. Then Victoria kindly dropped us off at our destination before going back home and getting ready for her party.
