(Readers POV) (Age 8)
I was sitting on the couch. I was waiting for mom to get back home. She said that she was bringing some friends over. I heard a knock on the door.
(Y/N): That's her!
My jackal tail started to sway back and forth. I got up and opened the door. I saw mom.
Mom: Hey there baby. Sorry for being late.
She picked me up and hugged me.
(Y/N): It's ok mom. You said that you were bringing friends over.
Mom: I did.
She put me down and walked in. I saw a woman with black hair with red highlights and wearing a white cloak.
Summer: Hello there. I'm Summer Rose.
(Y/N): My name is (Y/N).
I noticed a girl hugging Summer's leg. She looked scared.
Summer: It's ok Ruby. They are nice people.
The girl nodded her head. They walked in.
Summer: Ruby. Do you want to play with (Y/N)?
Ruby: Ok.
She said with a timid voice. She let go of her mom's leg. She walked up to me slowly.
(Y/N): My name is (Y/N).
Ruby: I'm Ruby.
She seemed to be careful around me. I don't know why.
(Y/N): You want to play with my toys?
She just nodded her head. I motioned her to follow me. I walked to a toy box that was in the living room. I opened it and pulled out a toy train. I gave it to her.
(Y/N): Do you like it?
She gave me a nod. She is pretty quiet. I think she needs to know me better. I thought of an idea and show her my jackal tail. She looked at it in aw.
Ruby: You have a tail?
(Y/N): Yeah. I'm a jackal Faunus. Do you want to touch it?
She reached slowly and touched it gently.
Ruby: It's fluffy and soft.
(Y/N): Thanks. I try to keep it nice and clean.
She let go of my tail.
Ruby: That's really cool.
My tail started to sway back and forth.
(Y/N): Do you want to be friends?
Her eyes seemed to light up after I asked that question.
Ruby: Sure. I never had a friend outside of my sister.
(Y/N): You have a sister?
Ruby: Her name is Yang. She is the best sister. I think you'll like her.
(Y/N): Can't wait to meet her. How old are you by the way?
Ruby: I'm seven years old.
(Y/N): I'm eight.
We started to play with my toys. Ruby seemed to open up to me. We had a lot of fun together. We played for hours.
Summer: Come on Ruby. We have to get going.
Ruby pouted at her mom.
Ruby: But I was having fun with (Y/N).
