A Phantom's Rose (Male Infinite reader x Ruby Rose)

Chapter 3

(Ruby's POV)

Me, my team, and Uncle Qrow are flying in a bullhead. We were all sitting down.

Ruby: Tell us more about this villain you fought.

Qrow: Well, he calls himself Infinite. He has some weird ability to make illusions.

Weiss: Illusions can't be that bad.

Qrow: That's where you're wrong. His illusions are tangible and are real.

Yang: Why did he destroy the town?

Qrow: Don't know. I heard him talking about fear and letting people live if they ran away.

Blake: He must have a dangerous semblance.

Qrow: It wasn't his semblance.

Everyone was shocked when he said that.

Ruby: What do you mean that it wasn't his semblance?

Qrow: When I was fight him, he had a gem in his chest. It would glow when he would attack. That is most likely the source of his power.

The bullhead stopped. Uncle Qrow got up.

Qrow: We're here.

We all jumped off the bullhead and landed in a forest.

Qrow: This is the forest that was nearby the town he attacked. We are here to see if we can find anything.

We all looked around. I saw a broke down building.

Ruby: Guys! I found something!

They walked up to me and saw the broke building.

Qrow: Good job squirt. We should look around here.

We all entered the building.

Ruby: What is this place?

Weiss: It looks like some kind of lab.

We walked around and I gasped. I saw a corpse on the floor. Qrow walked up to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

Qrow: I guess this is where Infinite attacked first.

Everyone looked around. We couldn't find anything.

Qrow: Well, this was a bust. We didn't find anything.

We started to leave. I noticed something glowing from the corner of my eye. I walked over and found a purple-ish gem with a red glow. Something was telling me not to show it to everyone else.

Qrow: Found something Ruby?

I put it in my bag and turned around to face everyone.

Ruby: Nope, found nothing.

Qrow: Alright then. We should look around the forest.

As we were leaving the building, some questions popped into my mind.

Ruby: What does Infinite look like?

Qrow: He has long white hair. He seems to be around your guys age. He wears a grey mask that only shows his left eye. He wears all black and has some of his chest exposed for his gem. He also had a tail.

Blake: He's a Faunus?

Qrow: That's what I'm guessing, unless it was an illusion.

Ruby: Do you know what kind of Faunus he is?

Qrow: All I know is that he has a tail.

(Time skip)

The sun was setting.
