Surgery

"S-Stay here I'll be back-" I pulled on my shoes as Kirishima watched me, his eyes filled with concern. I nearly fell over from bolting out into the hallway and down towards Izuku's room. I got to his door and knocked rapidly. "M-Midoriya-"

The door flung open to reveal a tired looking Midoriya.

"Oh, Kaminari..." He smiled weakly as I bent over, panting. "Why are you all tired out?" His voice was hoarse.

"I-I completely f-forgot- last night- I-Im so sorry-" I looked up, tears welling in my eyes. "I'm so /so/ sorry, Midoriya..."

"What are you talking about? I was completely fine-" He smiled hesitantly, knowing he wasn't convincing me. "After I left I heard you and Kirishima-Kun s-shouting... I decided it would be best to leave you two be. Are you okay!?" He grimaced.

"I-Im... I'm fine... Really good actually..." I felt kind of guilty in a sense. The both of us had been through a little bit of hell together, and now mine was just... Gone. I wish I could give him what I had, feeling like he deserved it more.

"What happened anyway?" He frowned slightly.

"I... Midoriya, he..." I tried to find a way to tell him. "He felt sad because I was ignoring him so we talked about  that... A-And then I confessed and he actually returned my f-feelings..." I felt my cheeks go a little warm as he smiled. I couldn't tell if it was real or not, and I didn't know if he knew either,

"Kaminari! I'm so happy for you!" He pulled me into a hug, much to my surprise. "I had a feeling about you two-" I hugged him back quickly before he pulled away and looked up at me, smiling warmly. He had to feel at least a little jealous, right? "I actually have some news too," His smile changed, a little pain behind it.

"Hm?"

"I set up my surgery date, so we'll both be hanhaki free- we're gonna live, Kaminari!" He jumped a little and I couldn't help but smile. "I'm so proud of you!"

"Are you still up to go out with me to buy Mochi stuff?"

"Wait, you still wanna go with me?" His eyes went wide.

"Yeah... Of course I do-" I tilted my head slightly.

"Oh I just figured you would have plans with Kirishima-"

"No, I already made plans with you. He's going to visit his parents like he does every Sunday, anyway." I smiled warmly at him.

"Meet back here at 4:00?"

"Yep," He smiled.

"Now go and hang out with your boyfriend while he's still here-" He playfully shoved me and I smiled sheepishly.

"Alright, I'll see you later then," I waved before slowly trotting down the hallway. I was glad that he was being positive about it, but I kept thinking that something seemed off. But I shrugged it off for the time being.
