Chapter 10: Warm Welcome

Before gaining consciousness I felt what seemed like a soft cloth on the back of my head, feeling a hand caressing the top of my head . Moving my head slightly made this thing flea off in an instant, though I did here what sounded like stuff being moved around.

"Hello...", I said in a sleepy and rugged voice, slowly opening my eyes. No response. "I know your there, you don't have to hide"

Out of nowhere I see this red haze zoom around my room before I felt something on top of me. Looking towards my chest, I see a short woman, with short red hair, and one glossy eye smiling showing off her sharp teeth. Naturally this freaked me out a little since I wasn't expecting it, as well as her face being near mine.

"Hiya there, I'm Niffty but you probably already knew that (y/n)."

"Uhh yeah, can you please get off me"

"Oh of course"

She said while quickly getting off my bed and dusting the window curtains.

"So, I guess you do the cleaning for the hotel"

I said to her.

"You bet. I do other stuff as well like sew and cook, but I suppose you won't see me when I'm doing that"

"That is sort of true...wait how do you know my name, I don't think I've told you yet."

I said questioning her.

"Well word does travel when you're our only resident, besides the spider."

She replied smiling.

"That is true", finishing my statement I began to notice a strange aroma coming near me. "Ugh, what is that stench?" Trying to pinpoint the location of the smell when it dawned on me, I haven't washed myself or eaten since I got here, let alone get a good night's rest till now.

"Niffty?"

I say while trying to figure out the next words I say without sounding weird.

"Yes Sir."

"You could just say my name but anyway can you do me a huge favor."

I say to her the most confident voice I could do.

"Whatever may that be." she said, eyeing me down.

"Can you please wash my clothes while I go clean myself"

"Ha, I thought you were going to say something else, sure I'll gladly do that." ,Chuckling to herself.

"Ok let me just undress in the bat-"

Though I was cut off by her taking off all my clothes and her giving me a towel to cover myself with. Before I knew what happened, I saw the front door to my room open and close.

"Man, she is quick."

I said to myself while going into the bathroom. Turning on the water and stepping in felt refreshing, I mean who wouldn't feel like this after the days I've had, if only all of this was a dream this would've made it better, alas it's not.

Meanwhile at the lobby...

"Wait, so you're saying he was just floating in the air?" ,Charlie replied in a shocked tone

"Not only that, but it looked like something was choking him." Vaggie replied. "And it's not just that, I think I'm starting to see weird things out of the corner of my eye."

"Oh no, you too." , Charlie said with worry in her voice.

"It's fine Charlie, probably nothing in the long run." , Vaggie said trying to calm her down while brandishing a smile.
