AFTER THE WHOLE CHASE ORDEAL NOVA thought that she would be no longer be helping the two jedi again for a while. however that was not the case, obi-wan turned up at her door once more with his devilish smile asking if she would join him on his latest mission. as it was to find out who the bounty hunter that was behind the attack on senator amidala, it was hard for to say no to, her curiosity getting the better of her.
she huffed loudly, running a hand through her hair, standing next to obi-wan waiting for the transport to arrive. anakin and padmé were quietly speaking behind them. a loud yawn escaped her lips while they waited, causing obi-wan to chuckle lightly, "it's too early for this, you owe me big time kenobi," nova grumbled shooting him daggers.
nova took the seat behind obi-wan and anakin letting them discuss whatever jedi business they had to. she leaned her head against the cold glass, closing her eyes trying to catch up on the sleep she had missed the night before. however the hopes of a decent nap were shattered when they arrived to their destination quicker that nova realised.
obi-wan gave the ex-bounty hunter a gentle shake, which she replied with a string of curses and another yawn. she got up and walked towards the doors of the transport, nova immediately noticed the messy hair that had appeared from her nap in the window. she huffed loudly trying to fix her out of place waves by running her fingers through her dark hair. "anakin don't do anything without consulting myself or the counsel," she heard obi-wan tell his young padawan firmly knowing his nature.
nova turned to face the young jedi and sent him a friendly smile trying to ease the tension between them. the tension she felt radiating off him was slowly disappearing since their first meeting. anakin was finally beginning to trust obi-wan's old friend despite his doubts due to her old profession. "be safe, don't do anything kenobi wouldn't do," she patted his shoulder before moving away and towards obi-wan while anakin made his way out of the transport and padmé embraced her friends one last time.
"anakin may the force be with you," obi-wan said before leaving with padmé walking beside him. sending the pair a small wave, nova moved back to the seats making sure she hadn't left anything behind. "we'll be on our way now," obi-wan nodded his head towards captain typhoo and gesturing towards the bored brunette to leave. she nodded jumping up from her seat and bounded off the transport, "so kenobi where are we off to now?" she questioned turning her head to face him. "i think you'll be quite happy about our location," he smiled widely leading the way.

nova couldn't help but laugh when the pair arrived in front of the familiar dinner. "just like old times," she mused nudging obi-wan's shoulder gently then taking the first steps into the busy diner.
she was hit with the familiar smell of greasy food, the scent was engraved in her mind after spending many nights in the small diner with a certain young jedi.
"so kenobi, saved the universe yet?" nova asked smugly taking a sip of her drink. obi-wan rolled his eyes at the young bounty hunter in front of him. "have you stopped killing politicians yet?" he questioned back causing a small chuckle to escape her lips while shaking her head.
the diner was quiet at this time of night, but that made it easier for the pair to freely sit and talk with one another - without the judgement of other customers. seeing a bounty hunter and padawan together was an very unusual sight, especially because they were not trying to kill one another.
"i'm surprised you've not handed me in yet, despite your many threats," she pointed out. obi-wan smiled softly, "i wouldn't dream of it darling,"
"someone to see ya honey! jedi by the looks of him," the droid announced when the pair entered the familiar diner. the familiar figure of dex turned round with a smile, "obi-wan and nova," he moved about the kitchen telling them to take a seat with a smile on his face. nova sat down at the closest booth to them sliding over to the window with obi-wan following closely.
they weren't seat for long though, dex came out the kitchen quite quickly. so the pair got up and embraced their old friend quickly, while the droid got the pair a drink. nova slid back into the window seat, still close to obi-wan however their shoulders touching ever so slightly. "so my friends, what can i do for you?" he questioned. "you could tell us what this is," obi-wan mused pulling out the dart that killed the assassin on their security mission for padmé.
he placed the small dart on the table for dex to inspect further, nova sat up straighter leaning in to hear what he had to say about the object. "well what do you know," he begun holding it up to inspect it while the droid placed the three cups on the table for them. "can you tell me where it came from?" obi-wan asked taking a sip along with nova. "this baby belongs to them cloners, what you got here is a kamino saber dart," dex explained further for the pair. his words caused a look of confusion to sit on nova's face.
"i wonder why it didn't show up on the analysis archives," obi-wan turned to face nova who was looking closely at the dart in dex's large hand. dex pointed out what gave it away that pointed it out to him that was a kamino dart while nova took a large gulp. "those analysis droids only focus on symbols, huh i should think you jedi would have more respect for the difference between knowledge and... wisdom," dex laughed loudly. nova nudged obi-wan's shoulder lightly, "yeah you'd think," she laughed along with dex while obi-wan rolled his eyes.
obi-wan took the dart back off, "well if droids could think, there would be none of us would there?" he countered with his usual cheeky smile. "kamino, i'm not familiar with it. is it in the republic?" nova asked looking between them both, obi-wan shook his head not knowing either so they both turned to dex. "no no, it's beyond the outer-rim," dex told the pair, going into detail where it most likely would be. they listened closely to what he had to say about the planet kamino, such as they liked to keep to themselves, they were cloners and they were only really friendly to people that had good manners and a decent amount of money.
the group finished their drinks, and bid their goodbyes to dex promising to visit him soon. "well i suppose you won't be needing my help on your top secret jedi mission to kamino then," nova began, fully prepared to say good bye to obi-wan and go home. "on the contrary, i was hoping you would accompany me on this one," he smiled hopefully. nova would be lying to her if she refused obi-wan's offer, she had been craving an adventure and obi-wan seemed to be offering her more than one.
