THE PAIR LANDED ON GEONOSIS AFTER A ROUGH flight involving jango fett and his son despite the father and son leaving them on kamino. they exited their ships giving each other a sceptical look, "something doesn't feel right," nova muttered falling step with obi-wan. "i agree, best we find out what is going on," he nodded as they walked up the rocky path leading them to a large building.
without noticing nova got closer and closer to obi-wan - the anxious feeling in the pit of her stomach not giving up and obi-wan didn't need the force to feel her anxiety. despite their hands brushed against one another causing electricity to run up their arms but neither of them acknowledged it. obi-wan felt a great urge to take her hand however, in hopes to calm her nerves but it was not very jedi like so once again he decided against it. instead he sent her a reassuring smile
they entered the building, nova looking around taking in the geonosis architecture. obi-wan walked further ahead to where a small balcony was, nova noticed concerned look on his face causing her to join him where he was standing. she peered over the side seeing many droids being manufactured, the loud clanging of metal filled the space. "that's a lot of droids," she muttered lowly, obi-wan hummed in response before tapping her to guide her away.
nova jogged down the stairs following obi-wan closely behind. they followed the sound of voices, them getting louder as they closer. "what about the senator from naboo? is she dead yet? i am not signing your treaty until i have her head on my desk" a deep voice rung out while obi-wan and nova hid behind a wall moving slowly into the dark so they weren't spotted. the pair followed closely behind once the small group had moved away from the corridor.
obi-wan and nova looked through a small opening watching the leaders of certain clans and systems talk about the new droid army count dooku was building. obi-wan was concentrated on what they were all saying, nova's gaze however, drifted up. she noticed how close they suddenly were, this was becoming a regular occurrence and every time it happened nova would instantly feel nervous. "the techno union army.... is at your disposal count," a robotic voice spoke snapping nova's attention away from obi-wan.
"we need to tell someone," nova muttered once the discussion was finished. he nodded before moving away and sneaking back out.
obi-wan and nova ran back to their ships to try and transmit a message about the discoveries they had just made. nova stood anxiously as she watched obi-wan talk to r-four, her hand constantly resting against her blaster just in case. "coruscant's too far. r-four, can you boost the power?" he asked getting a few beeps in response. the ex-bounty hunter walked a few steps away from obi-wan while he got into his ship to try and find anakin to give him the message to pass. "i told him to stay on naboo," she heard him huff as he moved in front of his droid to begin the message.
"anakin? anakin, do you copy? this is obi-wan kenobi" he begun his message but nova could feel something was wrong, she didn't pay attention to what he was saying. she grabbed her blaster, holding it up while she walked round the corner. she heard the rattling of droids coming closer to their location, nova quickly took off towards obi-wan to warn him.

a few red blasts flew past her head, "obi! they're coming!" she exclaimed before a burning hot pain hit her shoulder causing her to stumble forward and nearly face plant. nova grasped her shoulder in pain, blinking away the tears and tried to focus on the steps ahead. obi-wan's hand grabbed her arm pulling her up from the ground and closer to him. he kept his arm round her waist as he tried to fight off the many droids that had surrounded him.
nova blinded shot her blaster at the droids, but the burning pain was blurring her vision and making her as if the world was spinning. a few geonosian's emerged, "i think we're outnumbered kenobi," she inhaled sharply as she watched the area become swarmed with battle droids and geonosians. "i think so too," he sighed heavily before putting away his lightsaber and putting his arm up in surrender.
nova stumbled into the cell after being pushed roughly by the geonosian, they had taken obi-wan somewhere else. the ex-bounty hunter caught her balance back, and slowly walked to the back of the dirty cell so she could lean her back against the wall. she grasped her shoulder, still a throbbing pain from the blast, "fuck," she muttered quietly under her breath, applying pressure to try and stop the burning feeling.
the guards had took all of her weapons off her apart from one of her daggers which she had kept hidden in the side of her black boot. she grasped the knife in her other sweaty hand and clumsily cut a bit of fabric off her top to try and bind her wound with to try and stop any infection occur. her dagger fell to the ground with a loud clatter while she tried her best to wrap her wound but it was an awkward place, causing her to strain her neck but eventually after a few tries was able to tie a messy knot.
nova leaned her head against the hard wall, closing her eyes giving her head a slight sense of relief. her head lulled side to side, as much as she tried to fight the wave of unconsciousness it became a much too difficult task, so she allowed herself just a moment of rest. in the back of her mind was obi-wan, she desperately hoped he was alright. that he would come back and not leave her in the cell without telling him her true feelings. the feelings she had been bottling up for all those years.
nova's wish came true when her rest was disturbed when a loud screeching noise from the doors opening, nova rubbed her eyes while she witnessed obi-wan being shoved into the same small cell as her with a loud grunt. she let out a quiet groan herself, her shoulder still throbbing from the poorly dressed wound. nova sat up from her place at the wall with a pain expression, "nova, are you alright?" he hurried over to the ex-bounty hunter, who nodded with small smile.
"just great," she mumbled sarcastically. he moved over so he was sat next to her on the wall, their shoulders fully against one another. they sat in silence, finding comfort in each other's presence during this crazy time. obi-wan looked around the cell they were being detained in, his blue eyes travelling around, focusing on everything apart from the injured nova sitting next to him.
