"I'm right here, Simon." He could hear the agitation in my voice as he glared back at me. "I did close the doors. I don't know how it happened to get open." My eyes landed on the new fellow. His dark onyx hair fell into his grey eyes. His slim fingers combing it back so gently. His skin greyish like his eyes and I can't tell if the tone is actually that since everything around me was nicely burnt. I found myself smiling. But immediately stopped when Simon steps over the blackened floor to me. He puts my hands in his. I looked him in the eyes. "Did Penny get on your nerves again?"
I could see Simon stare at that guy again and then back to me. "You know me. It doesn't take much. I can't control how I feel. It just happens."
"I know." I planted a kiss on his right cheek just below the word snow. My attention turned to the other guy standing to my left. "Soooo...who are you?"
