Kacy POV
Me an Sam get to the stable and I see Arlo and snap out of little space. I quickly pull away from Sam and try to distance myself from her. "What's wrong sweetie?" Sam says worriedly. "Nothing." I mumble while stroking Arlo's neck. "Oh I understand I'll just be over in Nina's stall when your ready to talk." I say. She just nods and grabs a saddle.
Kacy's POV
For the first time I'm big around Sam and I'm scared. I've never been good with new people or people in general so I decide to just ride Arlo and do some jumps. I tack up Arlo and lead him to the indoor arena. I mount him and start galloping around letting myself relax. I talk to Arlo and he quietly neighs. We approach a tall jump and jump it with no struggle. We circle around and do it again so I dismount and add an extra pole making the jump six inches taller. We again make the jump with ease when I notice Sam standing in the entryway watching and smiling. I immediately start to freak out and turn red. "Hey that was awesome but can you come talk with me so I can get to know big you better?" She asks lovingly. I sheepishly nod and dismount leading Arlo back to his stall and taking off all his equipment. "How about we go out for lunch and talk then?" Sam asks. "I don't have enough money sorry." I say as I walk away. "that's fine I'm paying any way."she says and lightly grabs my shoulder to stop me. "No I don't want to trouble you." I murmur. "Nonsense! It's my pleasure now come on and let's go have a nice lunch." She says a little too cheerfully. I reluctantly nod. "Is it possible for you to stop by the store so I can run in and get some candy for Hannah?" I timidly ask once were in the car. "Yeah of course no problem." She says as she starts the car. I look out the window knowing that candy isn't the only thing I'm planning on getting.
We get to the store and she drops me off at the entrance and goes to park. I quickly grab a few of the cheapest Candy's I can find and a pack of blades. I go to the checkout and when the cashier scans the blades I instinctively say "it's for boxes" A little to quickly and suspiciously and the cashier just gives me a sad smile. I pay and go outside and open the blades disposing of the package before slipping them into my wallet and searching for Sam's car.
