The weekend. Who doesn't love the weekend? Especially when it finds you in bed between the arms of your loved ones. That's where I am right now. Downey is sleeping peacefully, only the sound of him exhaling is heard. I don't want to wake him up but my unstoppable need to kiss him has that result. He takes his hands off of me to rub his eyes and stretches his body on the bed.

"Good morning" I say smiling and he turns to face me.

"Good morning" he replies with his sexy morning voice.

God, that voice.

Without even understanding it we find ourselves sharing one kiss after another, with my body laying on top of his naked chest. When the time comes for the kissing to stop I'm looking down at him and he's looking up at me with the sweetest smile on his lips looking like he has something to say.

"What is it?" I ask laughing.

"Nothing, I-" he starts saying but stops and exhales instead.

He takes a strand of my hair and puts it behind my ear softly. He then gives me a few seconds of eye contact, allowing me to admire his beautiful caring eyes.

"You're just so beautiful" he speaks again and makes me giggle.

"Well, thank you. You look great yourself" I say smiling and kiss him.

I get up from the bed and go to the kitchen to make us some coffee. We're both coffee people. We can't start the day properly without it. It doesn't take long to come in the kitchen to find me. I have my back turned on him to look over the coffee machine. He brings his body right behind me and hugs me carefully. I notice his hands, they're strong and tight around me as usual but there's something different. His wedding ring is missing.

I smile to myself and think how all this feels like a dream. He lowers his head and places a kiss on my exposed shoulder. That kiss is followed by another one and many more after it. He moves to my neck and then higher to the back of my head and closer to my ear until he finally reaches that too and after kissing it he slightly bites my earlobe. The whole situation makes me shiver and giggle. Neck kisses are really my sweet spot.

The coffee machine makes a sound to let us know it's done and it stops our little fun. I give him a cup and we take a seat on the kitchen table as usual to enjoy our first sips.

"I was thinking" he says and takes a sip from his cup.

I look at him waiting to hear more and in the meantime I enjoy my coffee too.

"I'm moving out in the following 2, maybe 3, days" he continues and waits for a couple of seconds.

"I haven't really lived by myself in a house in the past 20 years and we've been doing, I'd say, very good the last month and a half together. What I'm suggesting is that, if you want, only if you want, I totally understand it if you don't want to do it, I'm really not pressuring you into anything" he rambles and I smile seeing him being like that.

"Do you want me to move in with you?" I ask to stop him before he blacks out.

"No, I mean yes, I mean not exactly" he rambles again.

I reach for his hand and softly place mine over it to calm him down. He breathes in and we look at each other for a couple of seconds until he's calm.

"Why don't you explain with simple words what is it that you want?" I ask smiling and he chuckles.

"Sorry, I panicked" he shakes his head.

"I can see that" I chuckle and take another sip.

He takes a deep breath and then he looks like he has enough courage to talk to me.

"So, I'm saying that I'd love it if you came by for a few nights now that it's still a new environment. You know, until I get used to living alone again" he finally speaks his mind.

"That was all?" I ask surprised and he gulps.

"Yes, we can forget about it, it's nothing serious, really" he shakes his head in embarrassment.

"No, we're not forgetting about it. Of course I'll do it" I say and he immediately looks at me, his turn to be surprised.

"Really?" a hopeful smile formed on his lips.

"Absolutely" I giggle again.

I move from my seat over to his and sit on his lap. Immediately I wrap my arms around his neck and lean down to kiss him. We both smile against each other's lips throughout the whole kiss. His arms are equally strong around me as mine are around him.

"Thank you" he says warmly and caresses my back with his strong hands up and down.

"I wouldn't say no to something as simple as that" I smile and rest my forehead against his.

I see the smile he had earlier when we were on the bed. The one that implies he has something to say. I let go of the curiosity on what that might be and enjoy him between my arms.
