The hints and texts kept flooding in, a new memory being surfaced daily. I'd tried to ignore the texts, but curiosity is a killer. Reliving Ashton and I's relationship has exhausted me, and between homework and this little game, the lack of sleep I've gotten has been detrimental. The bags under my eyes have grown as I've stayed up thinking of ways to end this torture, but I've come up with nothing.

It's been almost four weeks since the Christmas flashback that started my thoughts of confronting Ashton. I'd barely talked to the boys due to their busy schedules and I've even distanced myself from Boston. We're still close, yes, but our hang outs had gone from daily to weekly occurrences.

Sighing, I drop my pencil on my physics book and check the time on my phone. Realizing Michael and I had agreed to facetime in a few minutes, I head into my bathroom and throw my hair into a ponytail. Making sure the bags I had were well covered with makeup, I head into my room and throw on a sweatshirt over my tank top.

The sound of someone facetiming my phone causes me to jump onto my bed. Leaning the phone against my headboard, I lay on my stomach and answer the call.

"Hey, Mikey!" I attempt to smile, but even in the little box I can see I look tired.

"Hey, you. What's up, Homie?" He waves, ignoring my appearance.

"Nothing really. Just taking a break from homework. What about you, superstar? How's life as One Direction's opening act?"

"Pretty good." He smiles, his face glowing out of happiness. "I'm really glad we get this opportunity."

I nod. "I'm happy for you guys."

"Hey, Mike." I hear the sound of a door opening and closing. "What are you doing? Is that Jay?"

Soon I'm met with a Luke peeking onto the screen. "Oh, sweet it is. Hey, Jaylin!"

"Haha, hey." I giggle, waving back at him as he attempts to scoot Michael's chair over and make room for his own.

"No, stop. This is my FaceTime time with Jaylin, you can call her later." Michael pouts.

"Stop it, she's my friend too."

"Well yeah, but she's closer with me so..."

"What's that have to do with anything? And by the way, she's closer to me."

"No she's not."

"Yes she is."

"Nuh-uh." I watch as Michael waves his finger, trying to out-sass his bandmate.

"Yeah-huh."

"Shut up, Luke."

"Right after you stop lying to yourself."

"You know what? Let's let Jay settle this."

Luke and Michael both turn their attention to me. I shift uncomfortably, giving them a small, awkward wave. "So, um hi, guys."

"Who's your closest friend out of us?" Luke asks. "Me, your dearest Lukey Poo. Or him, Michael."

I hold back a laugh as they mock each other, knowing they'll be best friends before the end of this call.

"Who's it going to be?" Michael adds.

I look between them, not wanting to choose one or the other.

"You guys are both close to me, this is stupid." I point out.

They begin to fight again, saying how I wasn't helping. I sigh, sitting up and moving my phone so that you could still see my face. Losing interest, I reach over to grab my physics, temporary lost until I hear it.
