"What feels like the end is often the beginning."

- 6 months later-

"Those are the wrong flats!" I whisper yell to Jacob.

"Why do you have your shoes in different boxes? It's too confusing. And, I told you to label the boxes accordingly. I probably would've grabbed the right ones if the box said summer shoes or something." He laughs and I playfully roll my eyes at him, running up to my mom.

"Are you ready?" She asks me.

"Are you ready is the real question." I shoot back at her. She clutched the wedding ring my father gave her as it hangs from her neck.

"I'm definitely ready." She hugs me. "I can't believe it, this is so...."

"I can. You deserve this."

"Hey come on, everyone is waiting!" Alonzo says while walking towards us, adjusting his suit tie.

We walk towards the front of the building. There's a crowd of people standing in front, waiting for my mom to cut the ribbon in front of her floral shop.

Mr. Ricci walks over, handing her the large scissors with the help of his cane. "I'm so proud of you Angela." He says, smiling at me before walking back to stand with the crowd.

"Ok quickly. I would just like to thank everyone who has helped me with this. Its been a long time coming. I want to especially thank my daughter, Daisy. She's the reason why I kept going. Everyday was for her, and she helped me so much without even knowing. Sweetheart, you are my rock. My inspiration. And the reason why the sun shined on my darkest days. I love you." She gets choked up trying to finish her speech. I mouth back an I love you, afraid that if I speak I'll start crying which would ruin my makeup.

"Alright, lets get going. Everyone, welcome to 'Angela's Floral And Gardening Services'." She cuts the ribbon and we all cheer, taking pictures and opening the door.

There's a party waiting inside when we go in. Jacob walks back up to me, grabbing my hand.

"Daisy!" I hear Mya yell. Jacob and I turn around.

"Mya!" I hug her. "Hey Micah! Thanks for coming you guys!" I half hug Micah and Jacob shakes his hand. They both walk into the party while Mya and I stay behind.

"You should go say hi to my mom she'll be so happy to see you."

"I will! I just wanted to ask you about how the move is going." She says, shaking her shoulders excitedly.

"Stooop! It's going good. I think living together will be good for us. Especially after all the work we put into getting back together. It wasn't easy, I mean shit we had to talk a lot. But this feels like a reward for all the hard work you know." I say.

The place Jacob and I are in our relationship is so stable, for the first time. Every day isn't perfect but we're happy. Truly happy.

"I'm so happy for you guys." She hugs me.

"Girl! Enough about me. How's you and Micah. I mean you're transferring to NYU. He has to be excited." I say nudging her.

"I know! I think he's excited but forget him, I'm excited! I'm gonna miss you guys though. But I'm definitely gonna visit, all the time." She says gleefully.

"Adam and I will be fine. I promise. Now come on before my mom starts looking for me. We walk into the store, and Jacob wraps his arm around me once I get up to him. He kisses me on the forehead and we walk over to our parents and Alonzo.

For the first time in my life I felt like I could breath. Truly breath. I looked down at the necklace my dad gave me, smiling.

We're gonna be alright.
